The Moment We Fell
Scene One — Rhea's Decision
Rhea stood on the balcony of the farmhouse, watching the sunrise bloom across the horizon. Her hands rested gently on her belly, the baby's soft movements grounding her.
Behind her, Lex stepped out with a cup of warm tea.
"You're up early," he said softly.
She turned to face him. Her eyes were calm—almost serene.
"I've been thinking," she said. "About everything. About you. About… staying."
Lex froze. "Staying?"
Rhea nodded. "You've taken care of me. Protected me—even when I hated you for it. And maybe I didn't see it before, but… you never stopped loving me. Even when I didn't remember who I was."
She reached for his hand. "So I'm not going anywhere. If you'll have me, Lex… I want to marry you. I want our baby to be born in a home, not a hiding place."
Lex didn't speak. He just pulled her into his arms, held her close, and kissed the top of her head with a kind of trembling relief.

Scene Two — Sky & Micah: The Unspoken Truth
Later that night, across the city…
Micah sat at the bar, laughing lightly as his ex—Nayra—joined him. Their conversation was friendly, lighthearted, nothing inappropriate. But Sky sat at the other end, watching closely.
He couldn't explain the ache inside him.
When Micah got up to leave, Sky was already waiting outside.
Without a word, he took Micah's hand and pulled him toward the bike.
No questions.
Just silence.
At their apartment, as soon as the door clicked shut, Sky turned around and pressed Micah against the wall, his breath uneven.
Micah blinked. "Sky—what are you—"
Sky kissed him, urgently but gently, hands on either side of his face. It wasn't rushed. It was raw, unspoken longing breaking through.
Micah responded immediately, arms circling Sky's waist, deepening the kiss.
He pulled Sky in closer, letting himself get lost in it—something he'd denied for too long.
Sky smiled against his lips. "I've waited too long to say this," he whispered. "I love you."
Micah's eyes widened slightly… then softened.
"I love you too," he said quietly.
They didn't need anything else in that moment.
No words.
No labels.
Just them—two hearts finally falling in sync.
They fell asleep that night, wrapped in each other, finally at peace.
