Chapter 18- Parent’s Weekend

The day had finally arrived, the day he longed for, parent's weekend, Damien knew for sure we will get more truth behind all his secrets and malicious acts all this while, different preparations started in the school, a lot of meals where prepared and exotic drinks, parents trooped in filling the whole place, Damien waited for his dad to arrive, but this time not for reunion but the truth, as his car drove in, he stared at the car making a swift entry from the gate to the parking lot, he walked gracefully to his dad and said with boldness, "the truth is all I seek for", Damien demanded, Ethan just stared at him, and said, "where's all this coming from son, I have nothing to hide form you at all", he said , "that's a lie dad, I know everything that has happened, and you are also aware of the blood prophecy book and its consequences, yet you still went ahead to release a demon 17 years ago", Damien lamented with a furious tone, "let's get a seat first, we can talk this all out, it time you know it all", Ethan added with a faint look, after some while they made their way to the courtyard and sat down, music played softly from the background as Damien was very much ready to hear what his father has to say, "I'm all ears dad", Damien said, "it all happen 20 years ago, when I and your mother were still dating, I found out she was a descendant of witches that wrote the book we all needed, a book all immortal soul needed, I also knew a powerful demon was buried in Eri-doria school, but greed took the better part of me, I wanted it powers the most, on the night before the chaos, I went to the where the coffin was locked and opened it, and all of a sudden I wanted it to possess me but it just rose into the sky, and all of a sudden the sky began to rumble and it was chaos and trouble everywhere, I ran home and met your mother in labor, I took her out of there to protect you from the demon, but she didn't know what I did, I drove her out of Eri-doria, but till this day I don't know where the demon is", Ethan sorrowfully narrated, Damien stared at him with disbelief, he couldn't believe his own father was behind this whole scenario, if he hadn't open that coffin none of this would have happen, "then why did you bring me back here after 17 years", Damien asked, "your mother, she told me in a dream to bring you here, that you were going to save Eri-doria, from its second chaos", Ethan added. "I know all about the demon that's going to rise, the prophecy said it will rise on the night of my birthday and that's a red moon night, and it's going to be a very powerful night, but we don't know where the demon will rise from", Damien said with a pale face, "don't worry I will always be here for you", "there is somebody that's going to betray you, the person is not what it seems to be, someone you trusted with all your life, but turns to be your enemy later on", Ethan said with a cautious look, "who will that be, I know the betrayer from the role is Elora/Dina, then who is he talking about?" Damien questioned himself, they continue eating and enjoying their meals, Damien still stared at him, his mind and instincts told him that wasn't all, there was still something, he just touched his hands and just then a flash of light entered his eyes, he was having a vision,, he saw his mom and dad arguing so badly, their voice was above everything, they argue about the book and it powers, "There's only one person this book is meant to be given and nobody else!" Helen shouted, "how dare you, I'm your husband, this book is meant to be given to me, I'm a blood magician", Ethan argued pointlessly, just then he snapped out of his vision and broke the silence,

"who is real owner of the book?", he thought.
