Chapter 131: My Script

Yae Miko's soft laughter drifted through the air like a spring breeze stirring the surface of a lake, rippling gently in its wake.

A sly gleam danced In her eyes, as if she could peer into the deepest corners of the human heart.

With a casual flick of her wrist, the envelope in her hand fluttered down like a butterfly, landing gracefully before Kujou Sara.

Though the motion appeared effortless, it carried heavy implication—like she was saying, "Look, this is the truth you've been seeking."

Kujou Sara extended her hand and caught the "butterfly." Her gaze was sharp as an eagle's, scanning the official seal stamped on the envelope.

Once she verified its authenticity, she carefully opened it and unfolded the letter within.

The handwriting was clear and composed, and with every word, Kujou Sara's shock deepened.

Her eyes locked onto the text, her expression solemn and focused, as if trying to decipher some hidden truth between the lines.

"Bowing to the dazzling thunder of Inazuma, extolling the eternal law of the Almighty Shogun, whose will spreads across distant seas, her authority echoing far and wide. I, Kujou of the Tenryou Commission, humbly submit this memorial with reverence."

The words brimmed with praise for the Shogun and glorified the Vision Hunt Decree—but to Sara, something felt… off.

"The Vision Hunt Decree proceeds without obstruction, progressing swiftly. Under the awe of the Almighty Shogun's presence, the defiant fall, the fugitives return, and all citizens greet the edict with bowed heads and open hearts. Truly, the will of the people is united."

The letter seemed to claim that the people of Inazuma wholeheartedly supported the decree. But Sara knew all too well—this was far from the truth.

"That Inazuma now rests in peace is entirely thanks to the divine might of the Almighty Shogun."

The letter concluded with excessive praise for the Shogun.

Kujou Sara fell silent, doubt and fury welling in her heart.

"…Not a single word about the resistance… about Watatsumi… about the front lines…"

Her voice grew increasingly agitated.

"Have the fallen soldiers on the front lines… the suffering of the people… all become meaningless?!"

Her eyes blazed with fury, as if she wanted to burn the letter to ashes with her glare alone.

"How dare they treat human lives so lightly… Why… why hide the truth like this…?"

She clenched her fists. Rage and disappointment surged toward the Tenryou Commission.

Yae Miko shrugged lightly.

"This is reality. What are you going to do about it?"

And as if that weren't enough, she handed over another sealed letter.

"Hehehe… Think carefully. The Vision Hunt Decree—who does it really benefit?"

"This one's a confidential exchange between the Tenryou Commission and the Fatui. Hidden deliberately by the head of the Kujou Clan~"

"Now then. What you wanted to see, and what you didn't want to see—it's all right here in front of you."

"…You're not thinking of running away again, are you?"

There was a hint of mockery in Miko's tone as she narrowed her eyes, waiting for Sara's response.

Kujou Sara's fingernails dug into her palm, leaving deep imprints. Her heart roiled with anguish and betrayal.

"Then everything I've stood for until now… they actually… they really…"

"Unforgivable!!!"

Her voice trembled with fury, driven by the need for justice and truth.

"Betrayal cannot be tolerated. I… I'm going to confront the clan head directly!"

Sara turned and stormed off, her silhouette leaving a streak of afterimage behind her—a trail of determination and fury.

Paimon stepped out from behind Lumine, eyes wide with curiosity and concern.

"Wow, Kujou Sara's really mad… looks like she's about to switch sides?"

She glanced at Lumine, seeking confirmation.

"Let's follow her!"

"Yeah!"

Just as the two were about to move, Yae Miko called out to them.

"Hold on, Traveler. There's something else I need to tell you."

"Your first entry into the Plane of Euthymia—wasn't it in front of the Statue of the Omnipresent God?"

"You'll need to recreate that moment."

"If you can get the Raiden Shogun to open her heart again in front of that statue… then there might be a chance…"

Lumine's expression twitched. If she remembered correctly, that last time happened because Shajin pissed the Shogun off…

She let out a small sigh.

"Alright… I'll do my best…"

"Oh, right—take this with you. A little farewell gift~"

Paimon blinked curiously at the pouch-like charm floating in Yae Miko's hand.

"What is it?"

"It's a Omamori from the Grand Narukami Shrine—always been quite effective, you know. I made sure to save one just for you."

"If you ever find yourself in a dire situation, take it out and have a look—perhaps the solution will present itself."

Yae Miko's voice held a mysterious tone, as though this charm possessed some kind of arcane power.

"Of course, if you ever miss me, feel free to take it out too. Who knows—I might just pop in to say hi~"

She winked playfully at Lumine.

"Well then, I'll be counting on you to take care of that… foolish friend of mine~"

… .

"…Hey, Rosalyne. Still want to keep going? Your face is covered."

Shajin smirked as he looked at Rosalyne, clearly enjoying her disheveled state.

Paper talismans clung all over her face, her cheeks flushed red with frustration.

"Shut up! Keep going!!"

She snapped, fuming as she swatted the paper away.

Shajin just shrugged, completely unfazed by her rage.

Then, he casually nudged the "Queen" piece on the board, toppling the "King" Rosalyne had replaced with the Raiden Shogun's Gnosis.

Rosalyne's eyes widened in disbelief.

Her lips parted, but no words came out. She just stared at the board in shock.

Pfft!

Shajin burst out laughing at her stunned expression, clearly reveling in it.

"I'll be taking the Gnosis back for now. You'll stay in Inazuma and keep following the script."

Rosalyne twitched. She distinctly remembered that the end of the script had her getting cleaved in half by the Raiden Shogun.

"Our mission's done, isn't it? Why stick to the script?"

Shajin stretched lazily.

"Not Her Majesty's script. Mine."

"Let's see if fate is as immutable as they say… I want to see how far Teyvat's rules can really go~"

Rosalyne glanced at the faintly glowing Shajin.

"…And where are you going?"

"To report in—and to give Inazuma a little shock from Snezhnaya~"
