For Thursday and Friday, Andrew spent his time either helping Juliette at the clinic or taking him time to train. Sure he didn't need to force himself the way he did but he knew that to emerge untouched would require an immense amount of training.
Early Saturday, Andrew woke up and went about his day like usual before making his way to Cassie's place. She had already claimed her prize but only one of them to make it seem less conspicuous. As for the other, she'd do it at a later date.
Seeing his figure, she opened the door for him. "So what do you have in mind, given that you can see what will happen?" She asked as the two were chilling at the sitting room. "Absolutely nothing, just letting it happen was my plan."
It was hard to decipher whether he was making a joke or he was serious. Her eyes narrowing to slits hearing this. "Wait what?! But why?" Shrugging his shoulders off, he went on. "Because that's the only thing that I'll be doing at the party."
'I thought that he was going to invite me to join him.' She thought in her head as she gave out a light sigh. "It'll be a very crowded place. Something that isn't in your lane the last time I checked but don't worry, it'll turn out fine."
She felt attacked with his statement. "What do you mean 'in my lane?' Of course I can go outside and interact it's just that I refuse to do so." He rested his arm on the arm rest, placing his fingers on his temple. "Well it's nice to have an extra set of hands to help out."
"Ugh! Provided I don't have to actually go out there, I don't mind tagging along." She sighed it off to which the two started making their way to Hector's. "By the way, I was thinking where should move to? Do you have any recommendations?"
She asked as the two were a few feet away from Hector's. "Yeah I do have a few places in mind." He responded as he opened the side door and the two went in. She was entranced with the rich air of the place, the design to the classy car parked up front.
A black Lamborghini Aventador SV with a red interior was waiting outside, clearly the driver not far away. Walking a few more steps, the two ran into Charlotte and another figure he already knew.
Derrick, a young jock from a rich family, sharp blue eyes, blonde hair and a calm and cool air around him capable of entrancing any lady that would set their eyes on him. He was also Charlotte's boyfriend as the two walked, with their hands coupled to the car.
"Hi, you must be a friend of Hector's." Derrick started the conversation however Charlotte wasn't that interested. "He is the one I mentioned who bested me in tennis." Charlotte added on, her tone filled with contempt.
"Damn then you must be good. Maybe we can spar sometime." Andrew watched the pair as he blankly responded, his voice lacking enthusiasm. "Sure, I don't mind." Before Derrick could ask what was wrong, Charlotte filled in the gaps about his condition.
"Wait, you're also in the mixed martial arts tournament, right?" Derrick posed to which he have a light nod. "You're certainly an interesting person however we have to go somewhere else right now. We'll talk later." And with that, the couple hopped into the supercar and sped off the mansion.
Cassie was completely silent, watching from the sides.
Andrew wasn't going to bother her thus the two kept on going till they ran into Hector. "Andrew! I knew that you'd make it and you brought Cassie with you! I didn't know you were slick like that."
Hector joshed as he saw Cassie who remained adamant in staying silent. "She's a friend of mine." Andrew declared as he looked around. There were all kinds of decorations put up all over the place.
"Well the party doesn't start till couple of hours so you might as well have a look around." Hector urged before closing the distance between him and Andrew. "And there are a couple of spare rooms if you want to get busy. Just lock the door."
He gave a cheeky chuckle, his posture closing in as if advising him like a devil into his ear. "Thanks." His tone flat as Hector pulled back and went on with his plans. Cassie couldn't hear what hector had said but she could make conclusions.
"Do you drink?" Andrew asked as the two made their way inside the mansion and the sight of the luxurious paintings were the ones that stood out. "No, the allure of losing control of my mind for cheap thrills never fancied me." Cassie responded.
Coating the halls left and right, all gems of their own to which she took the time to pause and admire them before coming to the center piece. The painting entailed a man, his golden eyes looking at the observer clutching his head with his hand for support.
The other could be seen hold onto something though it was hard to see what it was. The two seem lost in it with their own reasons.
For Cassie, it felt as if the individual was staring down at her, judging her actions to which she stemmed a tint of fear from looking at it.
For Andrew, his indifference remained as he examined the painting. 'Lucifer by Franz Von Stuck but this isn't the original but a copy of it.' He concluded, his hands pocketed before the two moved on.
The two explored the place till they came to the music room to which she seemed extremely eager to check out the piano. "What? I like the sonata hybrid." Her statement of defense as she tapped her fingers onto the keys and played her heart out.
It was a piece of art to listen to her work as she went on till she came to a close. "That's impressive, Cassie." Andrew praised her. "Well I'm not just some random girl. I dabble in music back at school." She mused with a smile on her face.
"How perfect are you really?" She wanted to know as she stood up from her seat, giving him the ample space that he needed. He sat down and similar to her, played the same piece however even she had to admit that it was better than hers.
His fingers fluid and natural, his entire focus locked with his hands and in a matter of minutes, he was done. "I guess it's not that bad." She mused, her eyes rolling to the side unwilling to believe that he was so good with the piano.
"But lets see how good you really are!" Within an entire room of all kinds of instruments, she would throw Andrew instruments that she knew that were hard to master or required a shit tone of skills but in the end, the result was the same.
It didn't matter whether it was clarinet, the violin or the guitar, any instrument that landed in his hands were easy for him to toy with, as if he had experimented with them for his entire life. Mastering two would have been commendable but all of them was just too absurd to the point she fell silent in disbelief.
She was left glaring at his figure, wondering whether he was truly human or not. "I could teach you if you'd like." He urged with his tone ever flat. "Ahem! Thanks but unlike you, I have limits of my own. The piano is enough for me."
She brushed it off before the calm air was blurted through by loud pop music. The two looked outside to see a lot of people making their way to the mansion. Given that they had lost track of time with their expiremntation, the sun was on the horizon, ready to set.
"Do you want to go to the party?" Cassie asked as she looked at the crowd of people who were unravelling in the heat and thrill of the moment. She could recognize most of them as her classmates if not schoolmates with a select few either she had never seen or completely new faces.
"No, I'm fine here but we might as well get some drinks to pass the time." Andrew mused as he took his exit. "Nothing too crazy!" She urged. "No promises." And with such a response, his figure disappeared from the room. She had an ample view of the entire scene with the huge window overlooking the scene.
The party was still young thus most of them were getting the time to know each other and getting hammered by the drinks. The sight of how rowdy and cheerful it all was brought a tinge of doubt in her heart.
'Have I completely wasted my life? Youth is usually the time to do stupid things but I've been living it so tame and calm. I haven't even experienced love and here I am, turning into an adult.'
She couldn't help but think before she saw Andrew's figure who made his way to the bar. He would occasionally run into his fellow students to which his mask paid off and even she was taken aback with how good his acting was.
Giving off a laid back and chill attitude, urging them to have the time of their lives was something she hadn't expected him to say. Seeing how lost he got interacting with people, she pondered as to whether she should make her way down as well.
'I'm not a good liar like him or a good with conversations in general. But of course I wouldn't be, he's fucking perfect while I'm simply a regular girl with suicidal tendencies. I'll just wait for him.' She decided to wait for him in the end as she made her way back to the piano.
She toyed with a few random notes, trying to make a piece however they would fall flat or come off as questionable. She decided to give up in the end. Just as she was growing weary for waiting for him, she heard the door open which perked her excitement.
