The Spirit Of A Companion

Suddenly, Xian Li felt his heart ache. He knew that it must be the curse, so he decided to go a little away from the carriage. To avoid being suspected, he left a clone there just as he did when he left for the city.

He rushed deep inside the forest, where ferocious monsters prevail and not everyone dare to come deep. But to Xian Li, these matters were trivial. Any monster which was close would be scared by his aura alone. If someone who had the guts or was just dumb-minded came, Xian Li would simply exterminate it from the face of the world.

Once he made sure that no one was nearby, He let out the what he holding inside.

The sky darkened, the winds grew heavier and the sun began to be covered by the clouds. It started pouring down heavily in a matter of moments. From Beyond the clouds, came a figure who looked like a child. He descended slowly and leisurely, in a care-free manner.

He descended in front of Xian Li who stood still without a change in his expression. But when he saw the face of the kid who was in front of him, hovering over the ground, he felt a sense of déjà vu. Like he had spent years with it but at the same time, he felt like a stranger. Thinking of something, Xian Li expression changed to that of a shocked one as he realized that the child in front of him was none other than The Spirit of his former companion, The Celestial Blade.

He could feel it, the kid's gaze. Though it appeared indifferent, he could feel the hint of happiness it carried. He, too, smiled back.

Seeing the smile, the kid no longer stood still at his place but flew a little higher and then extended his both arms from which streams of light came out, all of different colours. It was truly a beautifull scene, a sight to behold, never to forget.

The lights lifted up Xian Li and engulfed him slowly. Xian Li did not resist and accepted the upcoming streams with open arms.

Once the streams ended, the spirit took a last look at Xian Li, sighed and then flew back beyond the mortal realm as the weather began to stabalize.

Xian Li who was still in the state of enlightenment, suddenly opened his eyes in bewilderment, as he looked around only to find no trace of the spirit.

He sighed and felt that the curse which was seemingly sitting idly inside his body, now began to slowly fade. He looked towars the sky and a trace of sadness appeared in his eyes. He stood there for a long time, lost in thoughts.

Meanwhile in the city.

The rumours which initially varied from each other, now were different too. But they all beleived one thing, that He was their saviour and they were eternaly endebted to him. One of the elder said a line which became the most used line for the city-

He came, He saw, He ended, He vanished.

The City began preparing for a banquet, trying to invite their protector to come and get their gratitude. But inside, they knew that he would not come. But still it was worth a shot and also it was happy day as they had not lost many people, due to the timely intervention of that person.
