...
Who knows how many years have passed—it could be hundreds or even thousands.
New stars keep rising in the ninja world, shining brightly for a fleeting moment before fading into obscurity.
To future generations, one page casually flipped through in the history books might represent someone's entire life—a person's only remaining trace of existence.
Today, Kaze still looks exactly the same as he once did; time hasn't left a single mark upon him.
But his eyes reveal countless hardships endured, like a stagnant pond—no trace of the youthful confidence he once had remained.
He holds an old historical record and gently flips a page, a nostalgic expression spreading across his face.
[During Konoha's Golden Age, driven forward by the Shimura father and son duo, Konoha became the dominant power in the ninja world, dominating all other nations and unmatched in prestige.]
[In the 55th year of Konoha's Golden Age, the Land of Fire's daimyō mysteriously vanished. None of his family members wished to inherit the throne, leaving the position of daimyō vacant.]
[A nation cannot function without a ruler; a household cannot exist without a master.]
[At this critical moment, Tanzō Shimura was nominated by the shogunate to assume the role of Fire Daimyō.]
[Tanzō declined the offer. When the shogunate asked again, he refused once more. They persisted, and after three rejections, Tanzō finally accepted.]
[After three refusals and three invitations, Tanzō officially took office as the Fire Daimyō. From then on, the Shimura clan's power surged like never before!]
"Ah, so nostalgic..." Kaze murmured softly.
Back then, his Dad was already unsatisfied merely being Hokage—he insisted on trying out the title of Daimyō.
As his son, Kaze could do nothing but go along with it obediently.
Later, Kaze and the Slug Sage secretly eliminated the threat posed by the Otsutsuki Clan.
The process...was slightly embarrassing—something Kaze would rather forget.
As for what came afterward...
Kaze closed the book in his hand. The ninja world that followed became quite dull.
It can easily be summarized with one phrase: "From division comes unity, and from unity comes division."
"Sigh… I really miss everyone..."
Minato, Kushina, Kaori, Vivi, Yukiko, Yukino, Uncle Yuto… even his rebellious father.
Keeping his body alive was easy enough—he had plenty of ways to do that.
However, after prolonging their lives for another hundred years, Kaze discovered their souls began decaying from within.
Dust returns to dust, earth returns to earth—that was how this world worked, and he couldn't change it.
If he forced their souls to remain in this world any longer, they'd eventually dissolve into nothingness.
With no other choice, Kaze personally sent everyone off to the Pure Land, walking the world alone thereafter.
It couldn't be helped—even though loneliness remained, he wasn't ready to go just yet.
Traveling the lands, doing good deeds, punishing evil-doers, overthrowing kingdoms… It was all just so boring!
"System, you're right. Perhaps I've always been a wanderlust soul deep down."
Kaze drew out a gleaming golden card, and the first flicker of emotion in ages stirred in his eyes.
"This place... it's grown too dull. I think I want to go out and see the world."
"Perhaps out there, in the higher realms you spoke of, I can find a way to attain immortality for all of us."
As he thought this,
Kaze looked toward Katsuyu, who had remained by his side all these centuries, manifesting as a gentle woman.
"Xiaoyu," he asked, "do you want to come with me and see the outside world?"
Xiaoyu smiled sweetly before sticking out her tongue playfully.
"Of course! I've been waiting for this moment forever, Little Kaze."
She and Kaze had both already become what the System called "transitional beings." With just a bit of external force, they could leave this world.
Kaze also smiled. "Alright then, let's go together."
He activated the Breakthrough Card in his hand, and arcane glyphs burst forth from the card, coalescing into a radiant golden portal.
Beyond the portal shimmered a mysterious light. By stepping through, the two would enter a brand-new world.
Xiaoyu naturally took Kaze's hand, and side by side, they stepped through the portal—and vanished into the blinding light.
...
The Great World held endless wonders.
Kaze resumed his original appearance, and together, they embarked on a miraculous journey.
They visited a world composed of seven elements, helping a "foreigner" with blond hair find his lost sister.
They entered a world filled with ghosts, played a round of ghost-hunting games, and even mastered a unique breathing technique unique to that world.
They went to a world without supernatural powers but advanced in virtual gaming. They had intended to explore it fully, but wound up trapped within the game world.
They also visited worlds containing supernatural systems like magic and aether energy.
In those worlds, visitors like them were called heroes.
There, they met many fascinating characters—a mighty skeleton, a slime dubbed the Demon King.
And a man who'd died after being struck by a truck and reincarnated, speaking in the style of Seiha Takehito...
They experienced one magnificent adventure after another.
Eventually, the two found themselves inexplicably pulled into a purplish haze-filled expanse.
Everything here was cloaked in an eerie violet mist.
To their shock, Kaze and Xiaoyu discovered that their spiritual senses could no longer pierce the strange purple fog.
Silence. Emptiness. It felt as if this place marked the end of everything in the universe—the very brink of time itself.
"What exactly happened? How did we even get here?"
Kaze couldn't fathom it.
He had meant to travel to the "Order" world where the System resided, but somehow ended up transported here instead.
"Tap-tap-tap."
Suddenly, footsteps echoed from the nearby violet mist.
Kaze and Xiaoyu reacted instantly.
One began forming an energy sphere in his palm, the other doing the same, both keeping a wary eye on where the sound came from.
Soon, two figures stepped out of the violet haze.
A man and a woman, both looked to be around twenty years old.
The woman had bright eyes and white teeth, exuding grace and allure. She had a vibrant, spirited look.
The man wore a white robe and carried a sword at his waist. Although his looks were ordinary, there was an indescribable aura about him.
N-Nani?! What... what is going on here?!
When Kaze Arashi got a clear look at the other's face, he froze, stunned beyond words.
At the same time, the man across from him also froze upon seeing Kaze.
Long-buried memories surged back into both of their minds. Their voices shook as they shouted in unison,
"No way! Wangshuo?!"
"No way! Zhang Wei?!"
W-What… what is going on here?!
"Villain! How dare you disrupt my cultivation path!" snarled angrily.
The man named Wangshuo sent his sword soaring with spiritual energy, its tip aimed menacingly at Kaze as he spoke.
"How could you possibly be that punk, Zhang Wei?! Tell me—who are you really—?!"
Arashi—or rather, Zhang Wei—raised a meatball in one hand and shot the man a glare.
"Hmph! Same goes for you! How do you know my real name?"
"And don't even try impersonating that loser Wangshuo to fool me!"
