After eating and drinking her fill, Paige strolled to the backyard to check on Seven.

Whoa, was this shiny, sleek horse really Seven? It looked completely different now.

It had gone from a skinny little guy to a strong and sturdy horse.

And the steward had even given Seven a full set of riding gear.

"Looks like the food's been pretty good lately. The steward's taken good care of you," Paige said as she stroked Seven's smooth coat.

"I can't take credit for that. I specially found someone who used to raise horses to take care of him. But Lao Yi took the day off today. I heard his daughter-in-law is about to give birth," Steward Zhang said nearby.

"His daughter-in-law is having a baby, so why is he going home?" Paige asked curiously.

"Ah, it's a sad story. Over the past few years, there's been so much conscription going on. His son was taken half a year ago to join the army. It was all chaotic back then, and no one knows which unit he was sent to. There's been no news since. Fortunately, his daughter-in-law is pregnant. Otherwise, things would be really uncertain. Now it's just the old couple and the daughter-in-law left at home. With his son gone, he has to go back and take charge," Steward Zhang explained.

"Oh," Paige replied casually, then swung her long legs over Seven's back.

"Miss, do you know how to ride a horse? Should I walk you around a few times?" Steward Zhang asked worriedly.

"No worries. I don't know how to ride, but Seven knows how to run. He won't throw me off. Step aside, or you might get stepped on. I'm taking Seven out for a walk," Paige said, and Seven excitedly ran toward the gate.

After being fed so well for such a long time and not getting outside, he had gained quite a bit of weight.

If she didn't let him run wild soon, he might forget how to run at all.

Even though Paige had never ridden a horse before, Seven could feel someone on his back and ran carefully, trying not to be too bumpy.

Paige sat relaxed on his back, enjoying the thrill of galloping fast.

She thought that maybe she wouldn't need to take a car anymore. Riding a horse was much more exciting.

Seeing Seven run wildly, Paige remembered the dozens of horses in her space.

Right now, the little pasture was only big enough for them to sleep and eat grass. Running? Not a chance.

For a short time, that was okay, but over time, if horses forgot how to run, could they even be called horses?

What if she needed to escape someday and pulled a horse out from her space, only to find it just wanted to slowly eat grass by the roadside?

That thought was terrifying.

She didn't raise horses for meat. She raised them to ride and run around.

Even though there wasn't a horse field in her space yet, Paige used her spiritual power to lift them one by one over the fence, then drove them to run in the open area for half an hour.

Feeling the horses' joy, Paige happily rode Seven back at a slow pace.

"Sir, you haven't paid your fare yet," a rickshaw driver said with a smile to a man who had just gotten off the rickshaw.

"Fare? What fare? You should feel honored that I even sat in your rickshaw. And you're talking to me about money? I've never paid a dime in my life," the man said arrogantly and kicked the driver.

"What bad luck. Some countryside bumpkin dares ask me for money."

The rickshaw driver was kicked to the ground and didn't dare to get up for a long time.

Paige happened to ride by on Seven and saw the whole thing.

At first, she didn't want to meddle, but too bad, the man was wearing a military uniform.

Commander Ye had told her that anyone in uniform was under her authority, except for a few top-ranking officials and clerks.

No, even the clerical officers didn't have a rank higher than hers, especially since she also held the position of a military advisor.

So, she directly had Seven walk closer and whipped that officer on the back.

"Ah!" The officer was caught off guard by the whip and rolled out from the doorway onto the street.

The people around quickly scattered, hiding behind obstacles and peeking out to watch.

The officer felt the burning pain on his back and angrily looked at Paige.

"St*pid! Do you know who I am? How dare you whip me?

I'll shoot you!" he shouted, pulling out a pistol from his waist and aiming it at Paige.

"Whoosh!" Paige lashed out again with her whip, directly snatching the pistol away.

Paige praised in her mind, "This whip is really useful. I'll have the butler order a few more to carry as spare weapons."

"What is this thing?" Paige curiously picked up the pistol to inspect it.

"Bang!"

"Aiya! That scared me! What is this thing? Why does it make such a loud noise?" Paige pretended to be frightened.

"Ahhh!!" The young officer held his hand, which now had a clear hole in the center, blood flowing out nonstop.

"Tut tut tut! Looks like your right hand is ruined. You probably can't be a soldier anymore." Paige shook her head and said regretfully.

Actually, the situation wasn't as bad as Paige made it sound. As long as he went to the hospital quickly to stop the bleeding, he'd be fine.

If he delayed too long, things might not turn out so well. It was up to him to decide.

"Make way, make way, what's going on here?" A small team heard the gunshot and rushed over.

"Hurry, arrest her. This savage not only stole my gun but also dared to shoot me." The young officer immediately stepped forward when he saw reinforcements.

"Who is..." Before he could finish the words "so blind," the man saw Paige on horseback.

Turns out, he was one of the men who had crawled out that day.

"Hehe, Instructor, what a coincidence, it's all a misunderstanding.

I'll take Regiment Commander Wang away now and have a proper talk with him.

There must be some sort of misunderstanding here." The man laughed awkwardly at Paige.

"He still owes the cart driver money. Medical fees, mental damages, lost wages and all that, ten or eight bucks will do." Paige casually said while stroking her whip.

"Alright, I'll pay." The man patted himself down. Out on patrol, who would carry that much money?

So he could only look awkwardly at the young officer.

"Regiment Commander Wang, I don't have that much cash on me either. Look, your hand really can't be delayed.

Once we get to the hospital, I'll explain everything in detail, alright? Your hand really can't wait."

The young officer might be arrogant, but he wasn't stupid. From this guy's attitude, he sensed something was off.

Clearly, he knew her. He even seemed to hear someone say "Instructor" just now.

So he pulled out ten yuan from his pocket and threw it to the cart driver, then turned and walked straight to the hospital.

As long as they were inside the military camp, everything would be easy to handle. If the person had no background, he could finish them off, or just get his father to do it.

He was determined to vent his anger today.

Never in his life had anyone dared to disrespect him like this.

"Instructor, we'll be going now. Please carry on." The man quickly followed the young officer after making sure Paige didn't object.
