Attack

Isla slowly opened her eyes, groggily taking in her surroundings. She was met with an unfamiliar ceiling and sterile hospital smell. A bandage wrapped around her head, leg, and arm, and she winced in pain as she tried to move.

The nurse entered the room with a warm smile. "Welcome back, Isla. I'm glad to see you're awake. Everything is normal, and you can still try again."

Isla's confusion deepened. "Try again? What do you mean?" she asked, but the nurse quickly changed the subject.

"By the way, I'm a huge fan and your style inspires me a lot. Could I get an autograph?" the nurse asked, holding out a notepad and pen.

Isla signed the notepad, still feeling disoriented. The nurse thanked her profusely and left the room.

Shortly after, Cade entered the room, concern etched on his face. "How are you feeling?" he asked, rushing to her side.

Isla recounted the nurse's words, still unsure what they meant. Cade's expression turned guarded, and he realized the nurse had almost revealed too much.

Isla's questions tumbled out. "What did the doctor say? Is the baby okay? How did I get to the hospital? Was Talia arrested?"

Cade explained that he had saved her and brought her to the hospital, disguising himself as one of her workers to avoid detection. Isla's eyes locked onto his, her gaze piercing.

"The baby, Cade. Is the baby okay?" she asked again, her voice firm.

Cade's eyes welled up with tears. "I'm so sorry, Isla. The baby... didn't make it."

Isla's face crumpled, and she burst into tears. Cade wrapped his arms around her, holding her close as she sobbed.

He wiped her tears with his thumb.

"I will make sure Talia rots in jail for being responsible for the death of this child." Cade said with gritted teeth.

"It wasn't her, Cade. I should have been more careful. It's all my fault; I should have listened to you. I shouldn't have been too hasty. I should have waited some more before I decided to let it out that we're dating. You warned me to watch my back - but I felt I could protect myself. I was careless, Cade. I should be blamed."

"She knew we were dating. Why did she get in the way? I'll make sure she's punished!"

"Cade, I think you should let Talia go."

"What?"

"And maybe, we put this to a stop."

"What? Isla, what are you saying? We've came so far and you're going to just put a stop? Its not happening. Its not fucking happening, Isla Sinclair!" He growled.

"Then what do we do?"

"I know what to do."

"TALIA! TALIA! You jealous bitch!"

"What are you doing in my house, baby? I mean, welcome! Take a seat."

"Come here, Talia!" She ran down the stairs and sat comfortably on the sofa, playfully stroking her hair.

"How dare you? How did you get out of the police station?"

"What the fuck? I was bailed."

"Bailed? What do you mean?"

"I mean, what you heard. What brings you to my house? Are you just here to yell away your time or to ask me a question?"

"I'm here to warn you Talia Evans. You've gotten away so easily with stressing Isla to the point that she had a miscarriage!"

"Miscarriage? What baby is she carrying? Whose baby?"

"Mine! The baby was mine."

"Don't tell me you had sex with her. How dare you get under someone else's skirts after mine? How could you be such a cheat!" She grabbed his collar.

"Let me go!" He pushed her.

"I'm warning you Talia. Don't you ever come close to me or Isla Sinclair. Or else, I'll kill you myself."

"Oh really? I don't think you can kill the mother of your child!"

"Isla is the mother of my child. Who the hell are you?"

"I gave birth to Dora."

"You left when she needed you the most. You left with a jerk. And now you're calling me the cheat here."

"But if you were good enough, you could have waited. It didn't even take you long before you went ahead to be with another girl! Didn't you say you'd never fall in love with a celebrity? I made you fall for me for a second, and I left you, right? Then what made you fall for Isla Sinclair?"

"I've always loved Isla Sinclair. You just came out of nowhere. I don't love you and I never will. Just leave us alone."

"Back off from our lives." He concluded and left the house. Talia just chuckled.

Cade and Isla were alone in a room kissing hungrily when the door burst open. They jolted and caught their breaths.

"What the hell? Why did you just barge into the room?" Isla asked the worker.

"Um, sorry ma'am. We have a letter for you."

"Letter? What does it say? Who dropped it?" The worker handed the letter to Isla.

"You can leave. I'll check it out."

"Who left a letter?" She opened it up.

"What the hell??" Cade gritted his teeth.

"How dare she?"

"What is she planning?" Isla was confused.

"Does she want to take her child away too? Why can't this woman leave us alone?! Do you still have any attachments?" Isla asked.

"No! I don't freaking love this bitch! I don't know why she's suddenly looking for me, she's so sick!!"

"Let's do this, Cade. The child's interests are most important. Dora will choose us - of course. Let's go for it, my love."

"Talia is up to no good."

Isla Sinclair stood in front of the camera, her beautiful skin glowing as she promoted the cosmetic and cream company. She smiled effortlessly, her eyes sparkling with charm.

Just as she was wrapping up the shot, her manager burst into the room. "Isla, it's time for you to change into the second outfit," she announced.

Isla's confusion was evident. "There's no second outfit," she replied, looking around at the crew. "We only had one outfit planned for this shoot."

The manager's expression remained firm. "Actually, there is a second outfit, and it's waiting for you in the dressing room. Let's get you changed quickly."

Several workers nodded in agreement, and Isla followed them to the dressing room. As they walked, one of the workers suddenly grasped her arm, steering her toward a different room altogether.

Before Isla could protest, she was pulled into a room, and the door closed behind her. She spun around, ready to demand an explanation, but her words caught in her throat.

Seven hefty men, muscular and imposing, surrounded her. Their faces were stern, their eyes cold and calculating. Isla's instincts screamed warning as she tried the door knob, only to realize it had been locked from the outside.

Panic set in as she assessed her situation. She was trapped, alone and vulnerable, with no clear escape route. The men seemed deadly, their presence exuding an air of menace.

Isla's mind racing, she wondered what was happening and who was behind this. Was this related to her recent issues with Talia? She knew she had to think fast and find a way out of this situation before it was too late.
