RYLIE
On stepping into the fast food place where we'd decided to eat, I could instantly see that this was a bad idea. Since this place was the regular hangout for most kids after school, it meant that most of my classmates were here.
As we tried locating a seat, I could feel more than one pair of eyes on me, the look in most of them actually scaring me.
Come on, people, he's just human!
Anyway, after we managed to find an empty spot in the busy restaurant, I watched as more than one girl decided that this was the perfect time to take a selfie and get Blake's autograph.
So there I sat, watching my so-called boyfriend, spend his time on our date, with other girls while I was more or less ignored.
After downing my fifth soda, I stood to go to the bathroom.
"Blake, I'll be in the bathroom," I muttered but he only waved me off.
I rolled my eyes and made my way to the bathroom. After doing my business, I stayed in the hallway that led to the bathroom, unwilling to go back to the table.
With my eyes closed and my hands stuffed in my pocket as I leaned against the wall, I didn't see the guy approach me until he was standing in front of me.
"Hey," I heard someone say, bringing me back to reality.
I opened my eyes to find a boy my age staring at me. He had jet black hair, the smoothest tan I'd ever seen, light brown eyes with specks of gold in them, pink diamond shaped lips and a square jaw. I had no ideas what to make of him."
"Hi," I replied after my analysis of him.
"I'm Sky."
"Hi Sky."
He stayed quiet for a while before saying, "I suppose you're not going to tell me your name, are you?"
"No offense, Sky but I don't know you."
"That's fair."
The silence returned and since he wouldn't leave, I was just about to when he suddenly said, "I just want you to know, whoever he is, he's not worth it."
"What does that mean? What makes you think I'm thinking about a guy?"
"Mmm, call it an intuition. You know, I'm kinda like a love expert where I come from."
I burst into laughter on hearing that.
"A love expert, huh? Are you sure you're not a troll on the side?" I asked, making a reference to Frozen.
"Nah. I'm a terrible singer so I doubt it."
I laughed all the more. When I eventually stopped laughing, I said, "Thanks Jordan. I really needed that. And you are right. He really isn't worth it. Well, it's getting late. I should probably get going."
"Okay. I suppose you're not going to tell me your name?"
"Nope."
"Okay then. See you later, Mystery Girl."
I smiled and waved goodbye. Before heading home, I checked our table to see what Blake was doing. I saw him talking with some girls who'd gathered around him. One of them had occupied my space. I rolled my eyes and went out through the back door.

Clink! Clink! Clink!
I opened my eyes and let out a yawn as I stretched. I rubbed my eyes so I could see clearly since I was still very sleepy.
Then came the sound again. Clink!
It sounded like someone was throwing stones at my window but who could it be possibly be especially at this time of the night?
Then I heard my name.
"Rylie!" I heard a voice whisper forcefully.
Was that... Blake?
No, it couldn't possibly be.
"Rylie!" I heard the voice call again.
My better judgement told me not to check but my curiosity got the better of me so I slowly got of bed and walked to the window to check.
I pulled the drapes apart and opened the window just as a pebble hit my forehead.
"Oww!" I yelled, rubbing my forehead.
"Oops! Sorry," I heard Blake say.
I looked at his window to see him in his pyjamas.
"What do you want, Blake? Some of us are trying to sleep," I muttered, still running my forehead.
"I know. This won't take long... I noticed you left early and without telling me."
"Oh! I saw that you were busy so I decided not to bother you. It's not like I'm your girlfriend or anything. Oh wait, I am!" I said sarcastically.
"Yeah, I'm sorry about this. I didn't mean for it to happen."
"Well it did and you did nothing to stop it."
"I said I'm sorry, okay?"
"You really hurt me, Blake. Yes I know we're not really dating but I have my self-respect okay and what you did… It didn't respect me at all."
"Yeah yeah. I know and I'm sorry about that. I promise it won't happen again."
"Well we only have your word for it."
"I know I know but it really won't happen again. Same time tomorrow?"
I hesitated.
"It'll somewhere different, more secluded."
"Okay then. Good night, boyfriend."
"Sweet dreams, girlfriend."
He smiled and closed his window. I did same before walking back to my bed.
As I lay on bed on my bed waiting for sleep to come, I thought of Sky and the short time we spent together. I thought of Blake and his promise to make our next date different…
Today turned out not to be so bad afterall. I could only wonder what tomorrow will bring...
