The Player Next Door

I'd never known myself to be this way with anyone but Rylie was different. Something about me seemed to love seeing her all riled up and knowing I was the cause. 


And I guess when she compared me to Sky, I basically lost it. I know the poor guy had done nothing wrong but hearing Rylie say that he was better than me pissed me off more than it should have so I did the only thing that made sense at the time. 


I grabbed the book she was studying and ran. 


After she tackled me down with surprising strength (maybe I should tell her to drop singing and take up football instead), I flipped us over so she had no chance of getting the book. 


She tried and tried but I kept the book well out of her reach. Frustrated, she stopped trying, pouted and gave me a mean glare. That was when things went south.
