“Dad, please… I’m really sorry. Please forgive me…” Adrian said softly, lowering his gaze in shame.

If the couch Mason was sitting on could respond, maybe it would have offered some sympathy...but Mason remained silent, unfazed.

He switched on the radio and reclined, acting like no one else was in the room.

Adrian glanced at Bella, who already looked teary-eyed, but he didn’t say another word. Seeing Mason turn his back on him, Adrian stood up weakly and made to leave the room.

“Come back here,” Mason’s voice rang out sharply.

“Pack up your things. I don’t want to see them here anymore.”

“Dad…”

“I said pack your things!”

But instead of obeying, Adrian dropped to his knees and began to plead, “Dad, why won’t you accept my apology? I know I made so many mistakes in the past, but I’ve changed. I’ve learned my lesson, Dad. I won’t repeat those mistakes again. Please forgive me…”

“Adrian, get out of my room!” Mason snapped without even looking at him.
