*Rose*
I don’t have much planned for the day. In fact, after a long soak in the tub, I intend to just sit around and read until Eli lets me know what his plans are for us tonight.
I am nervous and excited. I’m glad that I’ll finally have been with all four men, but at the same time, my track record hasn’t been so great this far. Reece seemed to have had fun last night, and I appreciate the way he let me take control.
But Mark and Tristan obviously were disappointments to all involved. They were disappointed in my performance, and I was disappointed in their reaction. So… what are the chances that Eli will be any better?
I take my bath, get dressed in a nice sundress, and am about to settle in with my book when there’s a knock at the door. Vienna is gone, returning my lunch tray to the kitchen, so I’ll have to get the door myself.
I pull the door open and see Eli standing there, a big grin on his face. “Hi?” It’s a question when it comes out of my mouth. I’m not expecting him this early.
“Hey, Rose,” he says, his hands clasped in front of him. “Uh… I was wondering if you might want to go down to the lake with me. I was thinking we could do a little fishing, and then… see what happens next.”
I arch an eyebrow at him. “Fishing?”
He nods. “That’s right.”
In my experience, most shifters tend to fish in their wolf form because it’s more fun that way, but I don’t know if that’s the case in every pack or just mine.
“Like… with a rod?”
“Uh-huh,” he says, still smiling.
I’m not sure how I feel about this. I’ve never done it before. “Well… I don’t have a rod,” I tell him.
“That’s okay. You can use my rod anytime.” My eyebrows furrow as I stare at him, and his face turns a shade of red fairly similar to his hair.
“That’s not what I… I mean… you can… but my fishing rod. You can… you can use that, too. I have a couple. You can borrow one. You can borrow my rod. My fishing rod!”
I try not to burst into laughter. I don’t want to hurt his feelings. “Okay,” I say. “What should I wear?”
“You can wear that,” he says. “You look beautiful.”
“Thank you,” I tell him. “All right…. What do I need to bring?”
“Just yourself,” he assures me.
I take a glance around the room and decide I’m ready to go. We walk down the hall to his room where he grabs a couple of fishing poles and a box of some kind. I know nothing about fishing. I volunteer to carry something, but he insists that he has it under control.
We walk out a door I’ve never gone through before and then down to the lake, which isn’t too far away from the palace. It’s beautiful, crystal clear, with lots of trees around it, and ducks floating by. It’s a good size, too, with coves that go off in one direction or another, tucked behind the trees.
“I thought we could go over there,” he says, pointing to a little secluded inlet. It takes a while to walk all the way around the lake to get there, but when we arrive, I see that we can get right down to the water, and there are some large rocks to sit on. Mature willow trees guard the area.
No one will even know we are down here unless they walk the long way around, as we have just done.
I discover that the box has some tackle in it but also drinks, snacks, and a couple of towels. I have to wonder why he brought those. Maybe he wants to sit on them?
“Have you ever fished before?” he asks me.
“No, not really,” I reply as I watch him ready his fishing pole. “A few times, I’ve gone with some people from school who were fishing as wolves, but… I just kind of watched.”
“Well, this is a lot more relaxing than that,” he tells me. “I know wolves like to fish for sport, but we’re not bears, after all.”
We sit down on the rocks, and he hands me that first pole. He shows me how to cast, but I have no idea what I’m doing. I tell him, “I just hope I don’t break your rod.”
He chuckles, and I realize what I’ve said. “I am pretty sure you can’t break it.” Then, he leans over to me and says, “You know, I don’t let just any woman touch my rod.”
I feel myself blushing and can’t help but giggle. Eli is funny. The other guys are all so serious, but he knows how to joke around, and I like that.
He casts his own line into the lake, and then we sit… and wait. I have no idea why people think this is fun. I would be bored if Eli wasn’t so much fun to talk to.
We converse about his family, and he tells me some silly stories about adventures he and Kelly had when they were younger. It’s nice to hear about my new friend and see her through the loving eyes of her brother.
“Hey, you’ve got a bite!” Eli exclaims, right in the middle of one of his stories. I don’t know what he means. A bug bite? Another love bite?
He puts his own rod down and grabs a hold of mine, and I realize he’s trying to tell me a fish is interested in what I’m offering.
“Take your time and bring it in nice and slowly.” His large hand covers mine, and we slowly wind the line in… and eventually, I see a golden yellow fish flopping around on the surface of the water.
“Wow!” I shout to him. “Look at that!”
“That’s a beauty,” he tells me. “A sunfish!”
It is beautiful, but I feel bad. “Can we let it go?” I ask him. “Will it be hurt too badly to swim away?”
He looks at me for a second, and then a soft smile overtakes his face. “We can let it go,” he says. “It’ll be fine.”
Eli finishes bringing it in and then somehow unhooks it from the lure before he tosses it back into the water.
“Bye, little fishy!” I shout. “Swim away!”
He chuckles and then looks over at me, catching my eyes, and I see a seriousness settles in.
Eli leans over and cups my face, and even though he smells a little fishy now, I want to kiss him, so when he presses his lips to mine, I lean into him.
The rods and other fishing apparatuses are forgotten as we continue to kiss, our hands exploring one another’s bodies. His mouth settles on my neck, and I find myself gasping a little.
“The water is nice and warm,” he says to me, a whisper near my ear. “Do you want to… take a dip?”
I stare at him for a moment. “I didn’t bring my suit,” I remind him.
He shrugs. “I don’t think you’ll need it. There’s no one around.”
I realize then what he is saying. He wants to go skinny dipping in the lake–and probably introduce me to his other rod.
We’ve been having such a good time, and I am looking forward to being with him, but I am nervous about someone seeing us.
“Don’t worry, Rose,” he tells me. “I’ll keep you safe.”
I find myself nodding, despite my reservations, and then, Eli is removing my shoes, untying my dress, and helping me step out of it. He kisses me gently as I slip my panties off, and then makes short work of undressing himself.
Though I feel odd sitting on this rock by the lake naked, I want him to get in first. He slides into the water and says, “It feels like a warm bath!”
“How deep is it?” I ask him.
“Oh, I’m guessing it’s deep enough to fit my whole rod,” he says, and my eyes bug before he starts laughing. “The water isn’t that deep, sweetie. Come on in.”
Sweetie? Is that going to be Eli's nickname for me?
He offers me his hand, and I take it, slipping into the water. He’s right. It’s warm, and my feet touch the bottom, a sandy surface, and the water completely covers my breasts.
And so do Eli’s hands. He begins to gently rub my nipples as he kisses me, over and over again. He isn’t wasting any time, though. Perhaps he thinks I might change my mind and get out before he gets to finish.
Eli lifts me up, my legs circling his waist, and he backs me up against the rocks we’d been sitting on earlier. He uses his fingers to make sure I am ready for him, and then he pushes inside of me.
The new element of the water makes everything feel different as he rams into me, time and time again. I steady myself with my arms on his shoulders, closing my eyes and concentrating on how good he feels. The water splashes around us, and I feel myself beginning to be carried away on waves of ecstasy.
When he tightens up beneath me and begins to grunt, I rest my head on his shoulder and wait for him to fill me with his seed. I wonder how to keep it inside of me when we are in the water, but I can’t worry about that. If Eli isn’t concerned, I shouldn’t be either.
When we are done, I start to lower my feet back down to the bottom of the lake, but he holds me in place.
“Thank you, sweetie,” he says. “That was amazing.”
“Thank you for… letting me experience your rod,” I reply.
He begins to laugh, and I think this is perfect. We end just like we started–laughing. The other guys might all be super serious, but Eli is fun, and I need more of that in my life right now.
