Chihiro, don't be sad, see you again 2

Chapter Two.

The morning was so cloudy that the girl had to turn on all the lamps that were in the room. But for some reason this did not help to dispel the darkness. When Chihiro pulled back the curtains, she realized what the matter was. It was going to rain outside. It was a shame. Chihiro was afraid that the festival would be cancelled. But it wasn't raining yet, so Chihiro grabbed a quick bite and slipped out of the house. The boy Haku was already waiting for her at the gate of the house, wearing a raincoat and holding two umbrellas in his hand.

"How does Haku know that I didn't take an umbrella?" Chihiro thought, but then her thoughts switched to something else. She saw that there were more figures on the lawn.

"How long have these figures appeared near your house?" Haku asked after exchanging greetings. "If it's been a while, then it's definitely a sign!"

"What sign?" Chihiro asked. "Are my parents in danger?"

"No, it means that they're waiting for you somewhere."

"They're waiting for me? That's strange. What a heavy rain!" Chihiro pulled her hood down deeper. "Is the second umbrella for me? If it's for me, then give it to me.

"I'm glad the umbrella was useful," Haku gave the umbrella to the girl. "It's just a shame if the rain ruins the festival."

Chihiro walked next to the boy and remained silent. She suddenly remembered a story she had seen or read somewhere about a boy who could stop time.

" Chihiro, why are you silent?" Haku couldn't stand it. "Are you upset about something?"

" Something happened to my memory, I keep confusing what really happened with what I read or saw in a movie."

" What are you talking about?" Haku suddenly stopped dead in his tracks. " Did some information pop up in your memory?"

" Sometimes I hear names of people I don't know in my head, and sometimes I remember situations that couldn't have happened to me, but for some reason remained in my memory.

" Could you share with me what's bothering you right now?" Haku continued to stand in the middle of the sidewalk. " It's very important right now.

— Haku, we'll be late.

— Don't worry, we'll get there on time. No matter how much time passes, we'll show up at the park when it all starts.

— Haku, that's exactly the story I remember. Some guy could stop time, he stopped time so I could run away from somewhere.

— Who was that guy? — It was obvious that the boy was getting nervous. — Please, try hard, remember!

— You know something about it, — Chihiro timidly looked up at the boy. — If it's possible, tell me.

— I know, — there was disappointment in Haku's voice. — But you have to remember it yourself. Okay, don't torture yourself, I hope your memory will return to you.

— The park was small in size. Maybe it seemed that way because there were too many young people in the park. All the schools in the city sent their students to the competition grounds. In addition to the contestants, there were a huge number of fans near each site, which was arranged in the form of a small stadium. The fans were dressed in the colors of their team. Chihiro wanted to go to the site where the senior students of her school were ready to show their program, but Haku pulled her in the other direction.

- Mr. Haku, but I must be near the site where the players from our school are competing, otherwise my supervisor will punish me, say that I just skipped today.

- Don't worry, Chihiro, we will return here at the moment when the festival begins.

- Okay, then where are we going now?

- You probably didn't listen to me carefully yesterday, we need the Dragon School. They are the ones who took on this responsibility to show an excerpt from the story where you and I were the main characters.

- Yes, Mr. Haku, I'm sorry, you already told me about this yesterday, but I forgot. — Chihiro, try to concentrate now, when you watch the show, don't think about anything else, just watch and listen.

It was so noisy in the park that sometimes people standing next to each other couldn't hear each other. Of course, the small space of the park was completely filled with schoolchildren who were talking, laughing, running after each other, standing in line at the cafe for food and drinks, telling each other something and admiring their peers dressed in bright costumes. Haku and Chihiro arrived on time. As soon as the girl and the boy took their place on the very top stand of the stadium, the show began on the stage that stood in the middle of the stadium.

Everything was as Haku said: schoolchildren from the Dragon School were showing an excerpt from the anime "Spirited Away". If you have seen this anime, then you remember the scene I am talking about. Do you remember that scene that was almost at the end? Well, that scene when Yubaba offered lets Chihiro find out her parents. Don't remember? Well, let me remind you now: on that bright sunny morning, Chihiro was faced with six pigs, a difficult task. Chihiro had to answer the bathhouse owner whether her parents were among those six pigs. If Chihiro gave the wrong answer, her parents would remain in the form of pigs for the rest of their lives, until they were slaughtered for ham. As for Chihiro, the prospects for her were not bright either. If she gave the wrong answer, she would remain working at Yubaba's bathhouse forever.

This is the very excerpt that the students of the Dragon School were now showing.
