The Liu Clan

The crowd couldn't believe what they were seeing.

No one had been bold enough to blatantly attack a descendant of a clan so boldly in the middle of the street like this.

"It's he crazy! Hasn't he heard about the Yang Clan? Or it's he just stupid?"

Some onlookers couldn't help but shake their heads upon seeing this. What the young man did was a blatant disrespect to the Yang Clan and if there's one thing a Clans values more than anything else it's definitely their face.

From the event that happened, they could tell the young man was no push over, but so what?!

Could he go against the mountain that the Yang Clan was? Even if you slapped them to death, they still wouldn't believe that this young man could go against the Yang Clan.

The Yang Clan was a Clan that had Foundation Establishment Realm cultivators holding down the fort.

In the Immortal empire any random person passing by the street was at least a second level Body Refinement Realm cultivator.

The Body Refinement Realm wasn't that impressive, in the Forsaken Realm nine out of every ten children given birth to already possess the first level of the Body Refinement Realm. Some geniuses were even able to reach the fourth or fifth level before the age of three.

This was the reason why Gu Shang was considered trash as a child because he was born with no cultivation to begin with which was very rare.

But reaching the Qi gathering realm was where the difference will begin to become more apparent.

Crossing the threshold from the Body Refinement Realm to the Qi gathering Realm was a hurdle that only a few people could cross, that was within every ten people only one would be successful enough to reach the Qi Gathering Realm if they talented and lucky enough,

Cultivators in the Qi gathering Realm were existences that the world looked up too and where like immovable mountains in the eyes of the commoners, and above that was the Foundation Establishment Realm who were the true powerhouses of the Immortal empire

No one here believed Gu Shang was going to survive to see sunrise the next day.

They couldn't help but look at the young man in white robes with pity. Meanwhile some onlookers looked at Gu Shang with mockery in their eyes, did Gu Shang think of himself as a big shot? Or did he think he was better than them.

Gu Shang on the other hand ignored all the pitiful and mocking stares of the onlookers and bent down to check up on the injuries of the young man.

After observing him with his senses and seeing the extent of the injury, he took out a white pill and shoved it into the mouth of the injured young man.

The injured young man who was about to thank Gu Shang widened his eyes as he felt the pill's medical effect taking place.

All his ruptured bones and organs began healing at a rapid pace and that wasn't even the best part.

All his hidden injuries and wounds within his body begun repairing itself and the wounds on his skin began to heal at a rate visible to the naked eyes, he could even feel his bottleneck loosen and could feel a breakthrough to the Fifth stage anytime.

"S..s.. second grade pillet" he was about to exclaim loudly when Gu Shang shook his head lightly.

Gu Shang turned his attention to the young beautiful girl beside the young man.

"Has any of your relatives served in the military before?" Gu Shang asked gently.

The young girl was surprised before nodding her head, '' How did you know?'' she couldn't help but ask in surprise.

Gu Shang pointed at a silver token hanging next to the young girl's pouch.

Understanding dawned on the young girl, these silver tokens were given to the families of loved one's of soldiers who fell in battle.

Gu Shang couldn't help but sigh and took a golden medallion before handing it over to the young couple.

''Find an inn called the Flower house and show the people there this medallion, they'll protect and take care of you for three days'' Gu Shang handed the medallion to the girl.

The young couple instantly understood what was going on, though they were not the one that beat the young third master up, it was in fact because of them that all these events transpired so it was a sure bet that the Yang Clan would come looking for them to take revenge.

When Gu Shang turned around to leave, the young girl couldn't help but ask, "what will happen to us after three days?''

Without turning back, Gu Shang gently replied "In three days time the Yang Clan would be no more!"

The girl widened her eyes in disbelief but before she could say anything else Gu Shang had already disappeared into the crowd.

"I trust him!'' The young man said with bright eyes.

I hope he's right" she replied before the two also fled the scene.

Currently the third young master was stuck in the wagon, his hands and legs had been impaled by iron pipes as he bled profusely.

No one within the crowd wanted to step up and help because they were afraid they might get implicated, so they quickly scattered into different directions and continued to mind their business.

By the time the Yang Clan arrived, the young master was amost close to meeting his maker.

They popped a pill in his mouth to stabilize his condition and carried him away.

After the main residence of the Yang Clan heard what had transpired, they quickly put a bounty on Gu Shang and the young couple's head.

Meanwhile all this had nothing to do with Gu Shang, he was currently standing in front of a large manor.

The manor was simple yet elegant, on top of the front large wooden gate was a plaque that read Liu Clan Manor, the strokes were simple yet bold, the words looked liked they were written with a sword and not a brush.

In front of the gates stood four guard all at the fifth stage of the body refinement realm.

He couldn't help but become nervous,this was the first time he had felt nervous about something in a long while.

He began walking towards the manor but was stopped by the guards when he came close to the gates of the manor.

"What's your business here?" One of the guards asked as they sized Gu Shang up.

They could not feel any aura coming from Gu Shang which was very rare because almost everyone in the immortal empire was at least a first stage body refinement realm.

Gu Shang gave them a polite smile, "I'm here to find Liu Feiefei" he stated.

All the guards couldn't help but stare at Gu Shang strangely.

Liu Feiefei had a lot of pursuers in the capital who have ben trying to court her but none have succeeded.

She had sworn to remain a widow for the rest of her life but most of her pursuers haven't given up and still kept on chasing her.

Looking at Gu Shang, the guards thought he must be one of the pursuers which was ridiculous to them.

All Liu Feiefei pursuers were at least young masters of noble clans and aristocratic families or even geniuses from the various sects.

Looking at Gu Shang plain robes and lack of cultivation they could tell there was nothing impressive about his background, the only redeeming quality he had was his handsomeness but that didn't really mean sh*t in the cultivation world.

Anyone of Liu Feiefei admirers could squash him to death before he even knew what hit him.

"And why are you looking for her?" One of the guards continued to ask coldly.

"I'm her husband, do I really need a reason to see her?" He said with a gentle smile.

All the guards couldn't help but sneere when they heard Gu Shang, was there something wrong with that guy's head?

Among all the pursuers that had come here, Gu Shang was by far the most brazen one.

"Are you here to cause trouble, kid?'' One of the guards asked as he narrowed his eyes.

"Young man, I'll advise you not to mess here. The entire capital knows that the young miss doesn't take too kindly to this sort of nonsense". One of the guards warned.

Indeed apart from her beauty Liu Feiefei was known for her fierceness.

She was one of the four goddesses of the Immortal empire and among the four she was the one with the strongest martial prowess.

She was only 20 years old and was already at the fourth stage of theQi gathering realm.

She was definitely likely to enter the Foundation Establishment Realm in the next decade.

The Liu Clan were a family of generals so like every other descendant, she was trained to be a soldier from a very young age, and she showed the most promise among the younger generation of the Liu Clan.

She was currently the deputy captain of the capital guards, a force that maintained order within the imperial capital.

She was known for being merciless too, and had once beaten a young master of a prominent clan to a pulp for saying uncouth words about her.

One of the guards who had already had enough of this was about to kick Gu Shang out of the entrance when they saw three fully armored dragon horses with armoured soldiers approaching the Liu Clan entrance.

"The young miss is here! One of the guards said as they playfully looked at Gu Shang.

The guard who had warned Gu Shang looked at the petrified young man with pity in his eyes.

This young man was about to receive the beating of his life.

Upon arrival the leading dragon horse came to a stop and the rider on it climbed down.

The rider wore a scarlet armour along with a

white cape, upon getting down she removed her helmet to show a stunning face underneath with a smooth fair skin, pale lips and deep blue eyes with long eyelashes.

She had a heroic aura surrounding her that seemed to uplift everyone in her presence.

All the guard clasped their hand and bowed slightly as the welcome her, "Welcome home young miss"

But the woman didn't even spare a glance at them, her entire attention was only focused on the young man in white robes.

Her body trembled slightly, "How can it be you?!"
