Chapter 160: Even the Aliens Are Shaking: What Kind of Monster Is He?

Whoosh

Alex slowly descended in front of the Bloodthirsty Devourer, his eyes scanning the creature's condition. He raised an eyebrow, a hint of confusion crossing his features.

The creature's defense was ridiculously strong. Despite taking so many of Alex's punches, it hadn't died.

If it were any other creature of similar size, it would have been reduced to a pulp by now.

But here it was—still alive, just barely. Its combat abilities were gone, but it was still breathing.

This was getting ridiculous.

For Alex, this monster wasn't that strong. It was just that insane defense that was proving troublesome.

Despite all the punishment, no matter what Alex did, it wouldn't die.

It was starting to get... annoying.

Wait a second.

A sudden idea flashed through Alex's mind.

The creature's skin and muscles were practically invulnerable, but surely its internal organs were more vulnerable, right? Alex remembered something from his previous life—when Ikaris of the Eternals faced the Deviants, he had used a similar tactic.

He tore open the mouth of a Deviant and shot heat vision straight into its insides.

That could work here.

With that thought, Alex's eyes lit up with determination.

No more wasting time.

He moved swiftly, appearing in front of the Bloodthirsty Devourer in an instant. His hands shot out, grabbing its jaws and effortlessly prying its mouth open.

ROAR!

The creature, unsure of what Alex was planning, immediately began thrashing and roaring in panic, but it was no use.

Alex's strength was far superior. No matter how much the beast struggled, it couldn't break free from his grasp.

Alex didn't hesitate. He fired twin beams of heat vision directly into the creature's open mouth.

ROAR!

The Devourer's struggles became more frantic, but this time it wasn't the desperate thrashing of an animal trying to escape.

It was the fight for survival.

Alex's plan had worked. Despite the creature's external defense, its internal organs were far weaker. His heat vision effortlessly pierced through, destroying them in seconds.

It's done.

"Damn it!"

"It's over!" Blackrow's face twisted with horror as he watched the creature's struggle weaken, then completely stop. The Bloodthirsty Devourer lay still, defeated.

Blackrow's mind reeled. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. That creature—his ultimate weapon—had been taken down by that Earthling in the blink of an eye?

He swallowed hard, his face draining of color.

Even the Bloodthirsty Devourer couldn't survive this man's power. What kind of monster was Alex?

His remaining Mogadorian soldiers were equally horrified. Some of them couldn't help but shake, cold sweat beading on their foreheads.

Yes, even aliens were sweating now.

Alex had just decimated the Bloodthirsty Devourer, a creature they thought unstoppable.

"How… how is that even possible?" Smith whispered in disbelief, his heart pounding.

The beast that had haunted them, the weapon that had torn apart their world, had just been obliterated—by hand.

It was like something out of a nightmare.

Smith's face grew hard as a bitter realization struck him.

With this kind of power, how would he ever retrieve the Sanctum Stone? This man didn't just overpower the Devourer; he could probably crush everything in his path with ease.

Even worse, it was clear that Alex was interested in the other half of the Sanctum Stone. Could their people stand a chance against him?

Boom!

The sound of an explosion interrupted Smith's thoughts.

Before Blackrow could even react, Alex had disappeared in a flash, reappearing just as quickly.

The remaining Mogadorians were once again sent flying through the air—except this time, they didn't get back up.

The battle was over.

Now, only Blackrow was left standing.

Gulp!

Blackrow couldn't stop himself from swallowing nervously. Alex was walking toward him, every step a reminder of his utter helplessness.

He still gripped his absurdly large energy rifle, but there was no more courage in his hands. He couldn't even bring himself to pull the trigger.

He had seen his comrades get slaughtered in seconds by this Earthling—what chance did he have?

Boom!

Alex vanished again.

Blackrow didn't even have time to think before he was sent flying. The next thing he knew, everything went black.

Alex had spared his life.

Perhaps Blackrow still had some use. He could provide information on the Mogadorians, their weapons, and their technology. Information that might prove invaluable.

But more importantly, Alex was curious. The Mogadorians' technology was advanced, far beyond what Earth had seen. If Alex could get his hands on some of it… well, the possibilities were endless.

"Supreme!" Selene approached, bowing respectfully before Alex.

"Clean up the rest. The one that's still alive—take him back to Emma," Alex ordered without a second thought.

Selene nodded and immediately began the task of tidying up. The remaining soldiers were handled efficiently.

But Alex's gaze once again fell on Smith and Six. Both of them stiffened, eyes wide with nervousness. The sheer power Alex had demonstrated was enough to rattle anyone, and it had left a mark on them both.

This wasn't a man they could reason with.
