CHAPTER 22

 To weeks have passed after Ledger's murder and still no trace of the killer so the police sealed the case of Ledger Powers, Martin would be sad and was never the same as he comforted his mother everyday. One week passed and Jonathan came to visit her to comfort her.

"Hello Lorelei"

"Hey Jonathan" she says like she's from crying

"How are you doing now?"

"Am trying to get better"

"I understand Lorelei" He sits next to her to comfort her, she cries even more

"Don't worry, am here for you" she nods and hugs her.

Thank you" he smiles

"Lorelei, I still have feelings for you ever since college" this annoys her and try's to chase him out

"Jonathan, I think you should leave"

"Why?"

"Your brother is clearly murdered and you telling me your bullshit" this angers Jonathan and tells her everything

"Am the one who murdered Ledger" this shocks her

"Why would you do this?"

"To get you and be mine" she remains silent

"I wanted you all to myself and you got to marry my stupid cousin, so the only way to get you was to kill him"

"I warned him" she says in a low, slow, shocked voice.

"Hahaha, he should have listened to you" he puts an evil smile on his face

"You are a monster"

"Oh baby girl, I did it to have you"

"I will never be yours after what you have done"

"Please Lorelei, don't make it hard for me now" she takes a moment to think.

"Answer me" He shouts

"Fine" she says in a low tone but enable to hear felling bad that she should have refused Ledger from going out that night.

"Good I will pick you up tonight" he kisses her forehead and leaves but Lorelei feels guilty for letting Ledger party that time with Jonathan yet she felt something wrong would happen. Can't leave with the guilt that she might have caused her husband's death she decides to commit suicide calling her parents in law to take care of Martin taking an overdose of pills found in her room. When Jonathan comes back that night he finds Lorelei's dead body in her room, he breaks down in to tears seeing how his plan to get her again has failed and ends up killing himself too to hide the evidence that he might have killed Ledger Powers.
