Chapter 4

As Hana walks down the narrow hallway with her mighty bat, she drags it along the ground, eyes locked on the dark, huge silhouette of a monster at the far end. It draws closer with every step she takes. Dread coils in her stomach. Fear creeps in. What will reveal itself at the end of the hallway?

Finally, she opens the automatic door using the emergency hatch. There it is—Sunflower Cyprus, also known to Hana as the Sunflower Zombie.

Weirdly, this one can talk.

"How dare you walk around like that, wearing basically nothing?" it howled. "You're a disgrace to the fashion world!"

Hana narrows her eyes, clearly ticked off.

"Fashion, you say? Fashion is dead—as long as I stand. And there's nothing you can do about it."

Sunflower, enraged by this cocky female being, unleashes a visceral attack.

Here it comes—the vine whip, jagged spikes and all. Too fast to dodge... but just enough time to jump.

She leaps aside, but the attack grazes her—part of her skirt and top are slashed and ripped, revealing some skin.

SCREEEEEECHHHHH—

The monster roars, so loud it cracks the mirror light bulb above, shattering it. Glass rains down on her.

"Damn this monster!" she screams, rolling back and forth to dodge its attacks.

At last, she sees an opening. With a mighty swing, she strikes the petal shielding its body—exposing the true horror beneath.

As it cackles and laughs, the grotesque sight is revealed: bodies intertwined, fused, mutated. Different body parts protrude in unnatural ways. The only recognizable features are the busts of all the other zombies it has consumed.

One of its arms holds a golden pendant—something Hana immediately recognizes.

She freezes. Hesitates. Denies the thought clawing at her mind.

"It's not her."

"It's not her."

"It's not her."

"It's not her..."

Sunflower looks down at her, then traces her gaze to the pendant.

"The one in the yellow duck-patterned dress wailed so sweetly," it mocked. "Begging for mercy while being fused with the others... I enjoyed every scream."

"CACKLE CACKLE CACKLE—!"

It laughed. And laughed. And laughed.

With its long limbs, Sunflower grabs Hana by the legs and hoists her upside down. Her skirt drops, revealing the same yellow duck patterns.

"CACKLE CACKLE CACKLE—!"

"You're the low-life daughter of that doctor I hated so much! But don't you worry—I'll give you the same fate as your mother!" it screeched in the most despicable voice.

As she was hoisted up into the air, her double Ds drooped down, pulled by gravity.Hana regained her focus, still gripping the bat in her hand. She timed her swing perfectly—striking Sunflower's face with a brutal hit.

It roared out loud, as if it were being taunted. At this point, the upper part of her clothes was barely holding on anymore. As a desperate measure, she ripped her top off, now only wearing her bra.

Weirdly enough, the Sunflower covered its face, acting all shy—as if it were the first time seeing something that big.Hana, flustered by the reaction, decided to use it to her advantage. She showed off even more, squatting down on one knee in a provocative pose, putting everything on display for the Sunflower.

It actually worked. The monster began to shrivel up, as if folding in on itself from sheer embarrassment. When she finally stood up, it was trembling like it was cold.

Now was her chance.

Hana charged toward it with the bat. As she ran, she noticed a bottle of rubbing alcohol and a lighter conveniently placed nearby—almost like a gift. She grabbed both, dropping the bat in the process.

With perfect timing, she hurled the bottle just as the Sunflower opened its mouth to roar. The liquid splashed inside.

"Perfect," she shouted.

The creature roared and charged again—but this time, Hana didn't move. She stood her ground, bra still exposed, skirt torn to shreds—this scene was dangerously close to getting demonetized. She waited.

Right before it reached her, Hana lit the lighter. She picked up her bat, swung it with great force, and struck the monster. Then, in one last bold move, she dropped into a provocative pose again—squatted low, then rose to full height and threw the lit lighter as the Sunflower shriveled.

"REEAAAAAAYYYYY, IT BURNS! HELP ME! IT'S BURNING ME ALIVE!"It screamed, crashing back and forth against the walls, trying to extinguish the flames—but only made it worse. The fire consumed it faster.

It killed her even faster.

as she slowly walks to the burn corpse, she picks up the golden pendant, as the arm slowlying rise up giving it to her.

"Take it," a scratchy female voice whispered.

"Hana… thank you for freeing me. I love you."

The arm—holding the last remaining memories of her mother—crumbled into ashes.A gentle wind picked them up and carried them out through the window. Now knowing her mother had died peacefully, Hana broke down.

She cried, curling up against the wall once more—wailing and screaming. It was too painful to bear. She never got to say goodbye.

She missed her chance.

"good bye~ "she sighs.

As the nurse wandered down the hallway, trying to make sense of what the hell was going on, she finally saw Hana—curled up and crying. Without a second thought, she started running. Running until she was right there with her.

She didn't say anything. She didn't want to ruin the moment.

Instead, she gently sat down beside Hana. She reached for her head and guided it onto her thighs, letting Hana rest there as she leaned back against the wall.

And that's when she saw it.

Burned limbs. Scorched walls. A single, blackened sunflower petal.

The nurse couldn't believe what she was seeing. The horror. The aftermath. The raw pain.

But none of that mattered.

All she cared about was being there—next to her.

For the first time in a long while, they both had peace.

Finally, Hana spoke softly:"Come join me… I don't want to be alone anymore."

With her husky, broken voice, the nurse replied:"Of course."

Their eyes closed—two souls who had seen war for the first time.
