Killing Two Birds With One stone.

In Eryx's and Morgana's room, Morgana lies in bed gently like even lying there hurts her.

Her body barely sinks into the mattress. The pillows are arranged behind her, but she doesn't lean fully on them.

Her face is turned toward the ceiling, eyes open but blank, her breathing slow and shallow like each rise and fall of her chest costs effort.

Eryx hasn't come back in after he carried her to the bed. He has spent most of the time in the dark study room.

He had carried her in with care, and after laying her down, he left. She hasn't heard his footsteps returning since.

The room has been silent, and the air feels like it hasn't moved in hours.

The door of the room creaks open, and her mother peeks inside, the moment she sees her mother, she sits up instantly, as if she isn't the one who has been looking like her whole body and soul is wrecked.
