"Well, yes! But we also need to focus on internal audits meeting the timeline we've set," this voice sounded overeager and didn't care about cutting the previous speaker off.

Tommy spaced out and words started to sound like the humming of bees in his ears. He looked down at the screen of his tablet and the figures blurred, mixing together to form a jumbled mess. He shook his head to clear out the stuffy feeling but it did no good.

He sat stiffly in the glass-walled conference room, his spine straight, his jaw locked.
