Location: Tavara – District 7 Subterranean Zone
The tunnels beneath District 7 groaned like the belly of an old beast. Water dripped from cracked ceilings. Cables ran like veins across the concrete, connecting secret weapons and black-market devices to stolen energy sources.
Kaleb stood with his fists clenched. "Begin the detonation countdown. We disable the comms grid first—make the elite deaf and blind."
From the shadows, the hooded woman known only as Veyra adjusted her gloves, revealing tattoos that pulsed faintly with bioluminescent ink.
"You're too eager," she said calmly. "Victor Kane doesn't bluff. He will come."
Kaleb grunted. "Let him. He's just a man."
Veyra turned to him, eyes cold. "No. He's not."
With a swipe, she activated a hologram—displays of security protocols and Kane Corporation's counterstrike algorithms danced in the air.
"We are ants in a war of dragons. We must strike first, then vanish. Or be crushed."
A rumble echoed above as the rebel crew began their move.

Location: Kane Estate – War Room
Victor, Nora, and their top advisors sat around a circular table glowing with real-time alerts.
"They've breached the outer ring of District 7," Lena reported. "Power nodes have been overridden. It's only a matter of time before they reach the central relay hub."
Victor's fingers drummed the table. "They're planning a blackout… not just of power, but of hope."
He stood abruptly. "Get me Cypher."
Within seconds, a lanky man with silver-tinted glasses entered. Known in the underworld as Cypher, he was a former hacker now under Victor's employ.
"I need eyes inside that zone—now," Victor ordered.
Cypher grinned. "Already ahead of you. A modified drone is piggybacking on their own signal. We're ghosting through their cam feeds."
He tapped on his console. A live feed from the rebels' lair lit the screen.
Nora leaned in. "That woman… she's not Tavaran. That accent is from the Eastern Frontier."
Victor nodded slowly. "She's not just a rebel. She's the strategist. And possibly more dangerous than Kaleb."

Location: Rebellion Base – Sub-Level Command
Veyra suddenly paused mid-command. Her eyes locked onto the console.
"They're watching us."
Kaleb spun. "What?!"
"I told you. Kane doesn't bluff." Her fingers danced over the keys, initiating a system purge. "They have a backdoor."
She looked up at Kaleb. "We move to Plan B. Evacuate this base. And prepare for extraction at Point Echo."
Kaleb's jaw clenched. "No. I won't run from a shadow."
"You won't run," Veyra said flatly. "Because you won't leave. You're the distraction."
Realization struck him. But before he could speak, her guards stepped forward, weapons raised.
"You said you believed in sacrifice, Kaleb. Time to prove it."

Location: Tavara Streets – Minutes Later
Explosions rocked District 7 as flames surged into the night sky. Buildings trembled, lights flickered, and chaos ensued.
But amidst the fire and fear, armored transports bearing the Kane crest descended from the skies—quiet, swift, and deadly.
Victor and Nora, dressed in black tactical gear, led the charge.
"No more games," Victor said through the comms. "We take them head-on."
As boots hit the ground, Nora whispered under her breath:
"Let the shadows fear us for once."
