The Seraphim Protocol

Location: Hidden Bunker, Calhoun Estate – Tavara Outskirts

The wind howled like an omen outside the concealed estate bunker as Nora descended into the cold, sterile chamber built by her ancestors. It wasn't listed on any registry, not mapped by satellites. Only Calhoun blood could open it.

And she had just used hers.

Flanked by two of Damien's elite agents, Nora's gaze swept over the hexagonal chamber. At the center stood a DNA-sequencing pedestal—its surface untouched for over three decades. Pale light from above bathed the chamber in an ethereal glow, as if awakening a sleeping giant.

"Are you ready?" one of the agents asked.

She nodded. "As ready as a weapon forged in secret can be."

Her fingers trembled only slightly as she pressed her palm to the scanner. The pedestal came to life, golden tendrils of energy dancing upward, enveloping her wrist.

"Welcome, Nora Calhoun," the system chimed in a feminine voice. "Seraphim protocol initializing."

Damien's voice crackled through her earpiece. "I've isolated the Dominion threat for now. But he's not done. Matthias triggered failsafe encryptions. Only the original creators can override them—and you're one of them."

Nora inhaled sharply. "You knew?"

"No," Damien replied. "But I suspected. The files… they didn't just mention your lineage. They were built around you. You weren't just a doctor, Nora. You were the failproof."

As the system extracted her biometric signature, a holographic map unfurled from the pedestal, revealing encrypted vaults around the world. Each marked with the Seraphim Seal—a winged emblem Nora had seen once, tattooed at the nape of her father's neck when she was just a girl.

Her father, Ira Kane, had been more than a researcher.

He was a builder of dynasties.

Nora's breath hitched as a sequence unlocked.

Video logs. Notes. Experiments. A single phrase repeated in every file:

"The child will determine the fate of nations."

The chamber dimmed again, awaiting her command.

"I need full access," Nora said. "Initiate cross-protocol integration with Dominion data. Link to Damien Kane's command clearance."

The system hesitated.

"Warning: This action merges Seraphim and Dominion. Risk of identity convergence: HIGH."

"Do it," she ordered.

Because this wasn't just about stopping Matthias anymore.

This was about ending every shadow plan that began with her family's betrayal.

Suddenly, the screen went black.

And a distorted voice echoed from the chamber's far corner. "I never expected you to wake up the angel."

Nora spun around.

But there was no one there.

Only the echo of secrets that refused to stay buried.
