Here comes trouble

In the morning, I woke up feeling exhausted because all night I had this nightmare. In the nightmare, I am stuck in some quick sand- but when I struggle it doesn't only make me sink further, it also becomes mud.

Once the mud is above my head and I believe that I can not breathe I give in thinking that I will suffocate to breathe but I don't! Instead I can breathe! while the mud is around me, like I am swimming. When I become comfortable with the mud, realizing that it is harmless.

I see worms in the soil moving around. Which made me to start panicking again. My thoughts started to race faster than I can keep up.

Thinking that the worms, will sneak there slimy bodies in my ears or nose, all these wholes in my body, that can't be covered are making me vulnerable.

When I wake up, I just wanted to bath and get back into bed. I am exhausted but I also feel wet, from sweating and the thought off mud and worms, is still fresh in my memory, which is disgusting.

So I get up slowly and go Bath grab a snack in the kitchen and go back to bed. Hoping my sister will not wake me today.

Angelique woke up and did her usual morning routine as she sang. Upon getting to the kitchen, she found her mother who was already awake. She was making breakfast so she thought to go and wake her brother up.

Angie where are you going? To wake Carter up. No need! He did wake up and then went back to bed. He passed my room looking like he was being dragged to the bathroom.

I believe that he got to excited and didn't sleep at all last night, just let him sleep.

You will also be giving Kiway an extra long break by letting your brother sleep.

Angie walked back to take seat in the kitchen amused at her mother's last sentence. So… you did hear Kiway at the door that day.

Yes I heard him and if you think that I am scary when, you wake me from my beauty sleep, then compared to Kiway my temper is mild. He was just holding it in because he owes a great debt to your dad. your brother who is also a prince was sick otherwise!

"Otherwise what? He will break the house down " Angie said giggling lightly.

Yes! exactly that, so I didn't want to get out and be told to tame my son whom is clearly to curious for taming.

When I woke up again it was mid day and it was obviously due to hunger as my stomach made loud noises.

I sat up, pushing myself up with my hands to stand and went to brush my teeth. Then went to the kitchen to look in the pots if there was anything cooked.

Fortunately my mother likes to cook, meaning there is usually something that is freshly made. I dished up, went to sit down, blessed the food and screamed thank you mom for the food. Then I ate like someone would take the food away.

Apart from being very hungry. I was also in a rush to go see the tree and try out my new scheme, for getting a sample from the plant.

So as soon as I was done, shoving the last mouth full. I put away the dishes and ran out banging the door shut behind me.

On the way I realized I forgot my strap up claws at the house which I was never allowed to leave without.

I had to turn and run back to the hut to get them as the forest is never safe. Hence we carry our basic weapon everywhere.

You don't want to get caught by a magical creature unprepared and unarmed. They don't care about your title in the village, all they see is free food.

I got to the door with less energy so I opened it gently then went to my room to strap my hands up.

Once I was done I ran to the door opened it and closed like a normal person, then I ran off again. Yes like I was being chased.

When I got to the tree, I jumped at it with my claw aimed at a branch full of leaves but it just moved up. Making me land on my knees as I hit the air with plenty of force.

When I got up. Before I could even think of attacking it again. It raised its branches, then flapped them down, to blow me away from it. The force was so much that it carried me into the air a few feet. When I landed it looked like I was running as I tried to catch my balance and nearly crashed into kiway's cave entrance which was quite a distance from the tree.

To say that I was shocked would be down playing the truth. I was more than shocked. I thought I had memorized everything it could do! including its fighting styles.

I was confused. The tree has never made such a move before.

Now I had to wonder or ask if it has been practicing new moves or was this a down right rejection from my beloved tree.

I wanted to walk back to it and ask what was that about, but kiway took me by the ear in my daze, dragging me into his cave.

When I focused on him he gestured for me to sit.

He asked me a bunch of questions, which where basic like how I felt, since the fever, how was my mother and sister.

Questions which I believe, he already has answers for because both, Angie and Nehu probably came by, as they did the patrol.

Grandpa Kiway your asking me obvious questions probably to kill time. Now since you sat me down, can I ask you for a favour?

I saw doubt go threw his eyes but curiosity, was the next thing that flashed in his eyes as he said let's here what it is first.

Well I desperately need a sample from the tree but it refuses to share! not even a fallen leaf.
