Chapter 142: Overwhelming Aura Shocks the Entire

The Anteiku District consisted of ghouls who advocated peace, but that didn't mean their strength was weak.

There were three SS-rated ghouls alone, Irimi, Koma, and Yomo. They were all the top combat power of the Anteiku District.

Facing Aogiri Tree was absolutely not easy.

Ghouls like Jason and Kirishima Ayato, who were S-rated, were simply not a match for the three.

"Be careful of those two guys," Yomo warned with a hint of wariness.

In his line of sight was one of Aogiri Tree's executives, Noro, and the other was a middle-aged man with a handlebar mustache, Kamishiro Mado.

Only these two gave him a dangerous feeling.

Irimi and Koma exchanged a glance and nodded.

They, too, felt the aura emanating from the other side.

Irimi said solemnly, "According to Arima, Aogiri Tree is an organization jointly led by him and a one-eyed ghoul."

"That guy supposedly handed over leadership to Kujo. As long as we explain things clearly to them, we should be able to avoid this battle."

She looked toward the Aogiri Tree ghoul who had fallen to the ground and said in confusion, "Why do they not know about the one-eyed ghoul and Arima?"

"Or is it that only a small number of upper-level people know this secret?"

Koma laughed, "Probably. To be honest, when you first told me these things, I was also shocked."

"These small fry don't need to know anything like that."

Irimi said, "What now? Talk with their upper ranks? But who exactly is their leader?"

To avoid meaningless sacrifices, just as battle was about to break out, Irimi stepped forward and shouted, "Wait a moment! Maybe we can talk this over!"

Aogiri Tree's ghouls looked at each other, faces full of disbelief.

They had their territory taken while they were away, and now the enemy wanted to negotiate? Are you joking?

They laughed wantonly.

Irimi said with a calm expression, "Who is your boss?"

All the ghouls looked toward Tatara.

Eto's identity was known to only a very few. Most of the time, Aogiri Tree was led by Tatara externally.

Tatara was distracted, completely unaware of everyone's stares.

"Tatara!" Eto whispered to remind him.

"Sorry," Tatara came back to himself and looked over.

Eto gazed at him, feeling he had been acting strangely since earlier, then sighed, "Forget it, I'll speak instead."

She stepped forward, pointed at Tatara, her eyes gleaming coldly.

"He is. But we have no need to negotiate! You've occupied our territory, and I want you to pay in blood!"

She recognized Irimi, one of the ghouls close to that old man. Jealousy surged in her heart.

The Aogiri Tree ghouls were satisfied with her decision and began shouting.

Seeing this, Irimi said coldly, "What kind of thing are you! Do you even have the right to speak here?"

"I want to talk to your boss. You little shorty, go cool off somewhere!"

"You!" Eto clenched her silver teeth, wishing she could swallow her whole.

Irimi glanced sideways at Tatara and said unhappily, "Are you messing with me? How does this guy look like a one-eyed ghoul?"

She raised her head, faced the Aogiri Tree ghouls directly, and said word by word, "I want to see the One-Eyed King!"

The other ghouls looked completely confused, only Eto and Tatara were stunned.

'Very few people knew of the One-Eyed King's existence. How could this wench know?'

"Who told you that?"

"Who? Of course, Arima!"

Irimi's answer left Eto even more shocked.

'Why would Arima tell such an important thing to someone unrelated?'

Irimi, having not seen the one-eyed ghoul for a long time, was starting to grow impatient. Looking at Eto, she said coldly, "You seem to know of the One-Eyed King's existence. Since that's the case, help me pass on a message."

"Tell him to hurry over and pay respects to the new king, Aogiri Tree has changed hands!"

"What!" Eto exclaimed. This news was even more shocking than the previous two.

As the king of Aogiri Tree, she was still very much alive. 'And now you're telling me Aogiri Tree has changed rulers?'

Just then, heavy and distant footsteps sounded not far away. Though it was a normal sound, Tatara's expression twisted. His eyes opened wide in horror.

He would never forget this sound, the sound that woke him from nightmares.

He also remembered that in the last moment before he lost consciousness, this was the sound ringing in his ears.

He saw a familiar black figure appear in his vision, calm expression, tall and strong figure. His body involuntarily stepped back two paces.

'It's that man!'

Seeing Jotaro appear, Irimi calmed her racing heart and smiled faintly, then said mockingly to the Aogiri Tree ghouls, "Since you've seen the king, why not bow!"

Her meaning couldn't have been more obvious, she was telling them that the man before them was their leader.

"A human?"

"He's a human!"

Even the most sensitive ghouls detected Jotaro's identity, utterly shocked.

Submit to a human? Has the Anteiku District group lost their minds?

"Are you joking!"

Eto shouted in fury, eyes ablaze, she felt like she was being played.

Tatara grabbed Eto's shoulder and said in short and quick tones, "Eto, let's run!"

"Let's run before that guy makes a move!"

"Otherwise, Aogiri Tree will be completely finished!"

He wasn't a coward, but he truly didn't have the courage to face that man again.

"Tatara, what nonsense are you spouting!"

Eto shook off his hand and stared blankly at her familiar comrade, suddenly feeling he had become so unfamiliar.

Tatara explained, "He's the investigator who caught me!"

Eto sneered, "Getting caught only proves your incompetence."

"You've let me down. I didn't think you'd lose even the most important thing, courage, after this."

She turned away and spoke in a cold voice, "Attack! Wipe out these outsiders!"

"Ahhhh!!!"

The Aogiri Tree ghouls screamed, they had been waiting for this line.

Jason grinned viciously, his beady eyes locked on Jotaro.

"This one's a nice toy. Hope you can let me torture you for a while, human!"

Kirishima Ayato, taking advantage of his ukaku-type kagune, leapt lightly through the air. His eyes had already locked on Touka's position.

"Big sister, you're still so weak, just like that dumb old dad of ours. Let me teach you how a ghoul should survive!"

Aogiri Tree suddenly launched an offensive, Irimi was caught off guard, holding her head in frustration, helplessly saying, "Now we're screwed."

She shouted loudly, "All Anteiku District ghouls retreat!"

The Anteiku ghouls, upon hearing this, quickly hid, especially the Black Doberman organization. Their movements could only be described with one word: swift.

"Quick! Stay as far away from that guy as possible!"

The Aogiri Tree ghouls laughed wildly at the sight.

"Trash! Just trash!"

"Brothers, go! Slaughter them!"

Jason charged straight at Jotaro, judging from his body, he looked like the type who'd last a long time.

"Let me see how many digits you can count to! Hahahahaha!!"

Aogiri Tree wouldn't submit so easily, this was entirely within Jotaro's expectations. Arima had long warned him: the other king on the throne wasn't so easy to talk to.

But from the start, he didn't care about any king position, or any so-called damn kingship.

"Yare yare…"

He stuck both hands in his pockets, eyes under the brim of his hat glowing faintly, and said coolly, "You all better settle down."

He furrowed his brow, and a surge of overwhelming pressure burst from him as the center, sweeping in all directions.

A vast, domineering aura surged violently.

The previously excited Aogiri Tree ghouls all spat white foam and collapsed on the ground. The entire battlefield instantly fell into dead silence.
