Chapter 69: Mystical Armament

Bart seemed very confident. Apart from these three pieces of equipment, he made no other preparations. He took Silas and the Husky, left the building, boarded Bart's exclusive luxurious carriage, and headed first not to Joseph's house, but to the museum.

The two sat in the carriage. Silas's demeanor had noticeably improved. Looking at Bart, he asked, "You seem to have some influence here."

Bart smiled. "Of course. No one can resist money. Let me tell you, merchants have the least desire for money. The ones with the most desire are those who hold power but have no money."

Silas's heart suddenly stirred upon hearing this. His mind, which had been constantly figuring out how to extort him, suddenly flashed with an idea that greatly pleased Silas.

"Since you're so capable, I'd like to ask you for a favor," Silas said, seemingly casually.

Bart, holding his crystal staff, smiled. "Of course. We are now partners who trust each other very much."

Silas stroked the Husky's head. "I want you to help me resolve the identity issues of two Demonesses."

"Demonesses!?" Bart's expression tightened upon hearing this.

These creatures had always been synonymous with danger and instability since ancient times.

Silas said calmly, "Rest assured, these two Demonesses have already gained my… my Lord's protection and knowledge by contributing their faith to my Lord. The nodules on their bodies are now covered by my Lord's power, and there is no possibility of them going berserk. Furthermore, their appearances have also changed; no one will recognize that these two were once Demonesses."

Hearing this, Bart pondered for a moment and asked tentatively, "Are you sure?"

"You don't believe me? Or you don't believe my Lord?" Silas raised an eyebrow, a hint of feigned displeasure flashing in his eyes.

Bart quickly smiled. "Of course, that's not what I mean. It's just that when it comes to Demonesses, it's better to be cautious."

He wasn't afraid of Silas, but he was afraid of the being that could descend into the mortal world at any time through Silas's body.

Silas nodded slightly. "I understand. After all, the customs have been like this for many years. But rest assured, I dare to guarantee in my Lord's name that these two Demonesses have no problems now. They are not only absolutely safe but also will not be discovered by anyone."

Upon hearing this, Bart immediately believed him.

Faith in this world was different from other worlds. Those beliefs truly existed and were keenly aware of your actions.

For a believer, the most convincing oath was to swear by the deity they believed in.

"It doesn't seem like he's lying. This fellow is connected to that being at all times. Such an oath can almost be regarded as that being's promise."

Thinking of this, Bart beamed with joy. "We are loyal partners. You've helped me so much; I naturally won't refuse your request."

Silas immediately laughed. "I knew you were a trustworthy partner."

"I can use my connections tonight to get two blank identification documents and handle the relevant registration. You need to give me detailed information about the two of them, as well as their ages. If they are of working age, I will also need to handle tax certificates and academic qualifications. As for their identity, the most convenient would be outsiders from another place, wouldn't you agree?"

Silas immediately nodded. "That's right! This is truly wonderful!"

As the two were chatting merrily, the carriage gradually stopped.

The coachman outside said in a low voice, "Sir, we've arrived."

Hearing this, both of them simultaneously suppressed their smiles and put on solemn expressions.

The two men and the dog disembarked from the side door of the carriage, looking at the still calm museum.

"Don't rush in yet." Bart stepped forward, raised his crystal staff, and waved it in the air a few times.

"Excel!"

With a low utterance, whoosh.

Silas felt an indescribable wind blow forward.

A few seconds later, Bart nodded. "Let's go. There's no ambush inside."

Saying this, he strode up the steps.

Silas glanced at the crystal staff in Bart's hand and asked, "Is this a Secret Treasure?"

Secret Treasures, full name Mystical Treasures, were items related to the mystical, or were themselves condensations of the mystical, possessing powerful mystical force, or other such existences.

For example, the Book of the Dead mentioned by Logan and Jeros previously belonged to the category of Secret Treasures.

Bart shook his head. "This isn't a Secret Treasure; it's a Mystical Armament."

"Mystical Armament?" Silas was taken aback; he hadn't heard this term before.

Bart casually explained, "Secret Treasures are powerful treasures that have been through long history or have been tainted or condensed by powerful mystical forces. Secret Treasures are very difficult to master, and if the affinity is not enough, they are completely uncontrollable, and there's even a constant danger of backlash."

Silas nodded; he had heard this theory before in the Death Cult.

Bart waved his staff. "Mystical Armaments are much gentler. Most of them are tools created by humans. They are props that help us mystics better release and use our knowledge, either for assistance or enhancement. A more illustrative analogy would be that Mystical Armaments are like exclusive equipment for us mystics. They can be clothes, armor, or any common item."

Saying this, Bart pointed to the Goddess pendant on Silas's chest. "This kind of monster-sensing pendant is one of the most basic Mystical Armaments."

Hearing this, Silas nodded calmly, but his heart was full of understanding, further comprehending this mystical world.

"I still lack too much common knowledge about the mystical. After I become an official clergyman, I must spend a good month soaking in the library of the Church of Holy Blood!" Silas secretly resolved.

While talking, the two had already reached the museum entrance.

At this moment, the museum's main door was tightly shut, and the two security guards from before were nowhere to be seen.

It was quiet inside; not a single person could be seen.

Seeing this scene, Silas immediately became nervous, tightened his grip on his cane, and assumed a guarded posture.

Bart stepped forward, placed his hands on his chest, and muttered a few words. Then, a hazy halo flickered on the grey ring on his right hand.

Then he placed his hand on the doorknob.

The locked door thus opened.

"Damn it! With this skill, not becoming a thief is truly a waste of your talent," Silas thought upon seeing this.

Bart pushed open the door, scanned his surroundings, and said, "This place is filled with spiritual energy. Has a mystic been active here on a large scale?"

"What? How come I didn't see it?" Silas activated his Spirit Vision and scanned around.

Bart sighed. "Dear Silas, you are just an apprentice, while I am an expert. If my vision were the same as yours, how could I make a living?"
