Chapter 179: Husky's Suit

Early in the morning, Ivan woke up early. The first thing he did after washing his face was to take Lobo, who was temporarily staying here, out for a walk.

Four days ago, due to the special nature of this mission, Silas couldn't bring Lobo along, so he temporarily left him here in Ivan's care.

Ivan dared not neglect this highly intelligent dog in the slightest. He fed it high-quality beef with bread every day; its living standards were even better than Ivan's own.

At this moment, the Husky was already up. It first stretched its body, then walked to the table and looked around. When it saw the beaker on the table, it immediately felt that this thing seemed somewhat an eyesore.

So, it stood up, lay on the corner of the table, and gently nudged this strange thing to the edge of the table with its paw.

"Aiyo! My dear sir!" Ivan, seeing this, hurriedly ran over, picked up the beaker, turned to the Husky, and said seriously, "This is not allowed!"

The Husky understood the words of the human who had a good relationship with its master, but it felt somewhat unhappy.

There were an astonishing number of things in this place, yet it wasn't allowed to touch anything.

It remembered that when it first arrived, its teeth felt itchy, so it lay on the ground and bit off one of the table legs. When it heard the sound of things falling from the table and breaking, it felt very comfortable.

But since then, this scrawny human had been staring at it every day, not letting it touch the table, not letting it on the sofa, not letting it do this, not letting it do that.

Awooo~ Awooo~ Awooo awoooo~

Thinking of this, the unhappy Husky barked loudly, expressing its dissatisfaction.

Ivan looked at the dog's vivid expression and felt a wave of exhaustion.

"Silas, when can you come back?"

Ivan knew this clever dog was angry, so he hurriedly ran to the kitchen and took out the beef bones he had prepared long ago.

He had personally processed these bone meats. The ratio of cartilage to meat was perfect, and they had been simply steamed at high temperature, which not only sterilized them and killed parasites but also gave them a medium-rare texture. This was what Silas had told him this dog liked best.

Sure enough, upon seeing the food, the dog immediately stopped howling and opened its big mouth, beaming with joy.

"Is this really not a person?" Looking at the dog's rich expressions, Ivan still found it somewhat unbelievable.

After eating a pound of bone meat, the Husky settled down. Ivan pushed open the door and, without leashing the Husky, just walked out.

This dog had a very good sense of friend and foe; Ivan had witnessed it many times before.

Although they were all strangers, it showed vicious hostility towards thieves, while becoming indifferent to ordinary people.

Walking on the dilapidated street, there weren't many people around since it was early morning.

The Husky, with its four long legs, happily galloped on the road, like a wolf dashing across the grassland.

Ivan, who was left far behind, didn't mind.

This was a very normal walking pattern; Ivan had already gotten used to it.

Running freely made the dog happy. The Husky felt its whole body stretch out, feeling very refreshed and comfortable.

"It would be so nice to play outside like this all day!" the Husky thought, turning its head to look at the two-legged creature in the distance.

Should I just run away and find my master? The Husky suddenly thought.

Instantly, this tempting thought occupied its entire doggy head.

But the next second, it remembered its master's serious expression when he left.

The thought just now vanished into thin air.

It couldn't go find its master. Today, it decided to go check out the ruins. Although that pitch-black land had been protected by the Church, it wasn't difficult to get in if it wanted to.

Maybe there was some treasure there!

The Husky's curiosity began to explode.

Three days ago, while out for a walk, the Husky had sensed a special fluctuation when passing by that place. That fluctuation was very strange, without any hostility, any energy, or even any texture.

The existence of that fluctuation itself was as if it didn't exist.

It must be a treasure. If I dig it out and offer it to my master, my master will definitely be very happy.

The Husky thought, its steps becoming even more joyful.

There weren't many people here in the early morning. The Church guards, who hadn't been relieved yet, were drowsy. The Husky slipped in through a gap on the side while they were dozing off.

The land there was still pitch black, like a smooth sheet of marble.

The Husky shuttled between the tents through the gaps, searching for that strange fluctuation, and arrived near the bottom of those two behemoths (steel warships).

Lying on the ground, the Husky felt something slowly wriggling on the pitch-black ground, like a pitch-black snake.

Instantly, the Husky's whole body tensed up, entering a state of alert. Its powerful limbs gripped the ground, preparing to dash forward.

The thing inside seemed to sense the Husky's gaze, gradually stopped, and merged with the black earth, as if it were earth itself.

Seeing such self-deceiving acting, the Husky grinned, revealing an incredibly funny expression, as if saying, "Little fellow, you still want to deceive me?"

The next second, like a hunter seeing its prey, its body, accompanied by a whooshing sound of wind, suddenly rushed out. It opened its mouth and bit down on the black thing on the ground.

Instantly, that black thing began to struggle violently, trying to escape.

However, the Husky's mouth, like a pair of pliers, bit down firmly. Then, its body pulled back forcefully.

As the black earth churned, a pitch-black thing was pulled out from the soil.

Only after it was completely pulled out could it be seen that this black thing was a piece of tattered cloth.

This tattered cloth was not large, about the size of a jacket.

The tattered cloth was covered in mud and dust, as if it had been thrown on the ground and stepped on a few times.

After being torn out by the Husky, this tattered cloth rapidly churned, then, like a snake, it wrapped around the Husky's neck and quickly tightened, looking as if it was about to strangle the Husky.

The Husky's eyes widened, its icy blue eyes instantly burning with cold ghost fire. Its entire body transformed into a handsome cold wind form.

Terrifying cold air scattered. This piece of tattered cloth seemed to be frightened and began to tremble.

Awooo!

The Husky barked, seemingly commanding its subordinate.

The tattered cloth, trembling, understood. It wriggled on the Husky's body and transformed into a close-fitting garment.

This garment was a standard dog outfit, covering the Husky's front legs and upper body, resembling a human suit.

The Husky returned to normal, looked down at the black clothes on its body, and thought of the black clothes its master usually wore. A hint of satisfaction flashed in its eyes.

Its large black nose sniffed the ground. After confirming there was nothing else special, the Husky, wearing its new clothes, happily left through a gap on the side and, following the scent, found an anxious Ivan.

When Ivan saw the Husky wearing clothes, he was instantly shocked.

Just as he curiously squatted down to reach out and touch it, he was nimbly dodged by the Husky.

Then, it slightly turned its head, glanced at him, and leisurely walked away.

That glance was full of disdain.

"I was actually disdained by a dog?" Ivan squatted on the spot, stunned for a long time, unable to recover.

Awooo!

The Husky in front barked. Ivan looked up and happened to see the Husky, wearing a black suit, very imposingly giving him a look, then tossing its head, as if saying, "Let's go, it's time to go home!"

Afterward, it took the lead, walking ahead without looking back.

"...Am I walking you, or are you walking me?" Ivan looked stunned, feeling as if his worldview had been overturned.
