"I want legal drafting a statement. PR's out. Replace them. We do this my way."

"Should we deny the relationship?" her assistant asked.

"No. We double down.This isn't a scandal. It's my life."

But to tell her she was on "voluntary unpaid leave" while things "settled down."

"You're not in trouble," her manager said, eyes full of pity."You're just… visible now."

Rina walked out the back door. Past the trash bins. Past the corporate glass.

Because they made her feel small for loving someone big.

At noon, a letter went live on Syntek's homepage.
