Level Zero: The Forbidden Surge

Soon, things escalated when Arin turned 13.

He started to annoy and pranked not just kids but older people like servants in various ways, which were annoying to say the least, and started as childish but at some point, these childish pranks gradually evolved to something else, as Arin was not a child anymore, and it became bullying.

He started to accuse the cooks of giving him bad food and water, and demanded that they cook it all over again and again until he felt satisfied.

His mother was always there to correct him, to correct him about his misbehaviour, but on the other hand, his Father always stopped her Mother using various reasons, thus Arin went unharmed for his misdeeds, without any repercussions, and that's why he felt so proud of these things.

It becomes his second nature, being a noble bully and a spoiled Young Master.

When he turned 15, he got a note on his desk written in blood instead of ink, and an envelope which was sealed with wax from some strangers, which read that

"Kill your 'Father' or be ready to endure the unbearable pain and let the whole Kingdom and everyone, that you are not the real son of the general and if it gets revealed, then you know what will happen, don't you, my dear 'Young Master'."

He at first didn't pay attention to the letter as he was furious about how this note appeared at his desk, but as he read the note, his hands started trembling,

He muttered in panic, "No….!.NO…..It's not possible…!!!"

He didn't believe it was real until he opened the envelope and saw the truth in it.

After that, he turned hysterical and gradually lost himself in panic, his state of mind became worse and worse, until...

A year later, He was confronted by some Strangers Visited him in his own room, at night

Strangers: "Kill your 'Father' by any means, or be ready to suffer the real pain until you die….little brat"

Arin murmured: "But..BUT….I can't….He can kill me in an instant."

Arin begged and pleaded with them as he knew that he had no chance of ever harming his "Father", but the strangers did not give him any chance and gave him an ultimatum,

Arin was sweating and panicking furiously,

Strangers: " So it means you are saying that you are not able to do it?"

Arin replied in fear: "I'm telling you both, he will kill me off, and I'm sure soon he will find you both and finish you too."

Strangers laughed amusedly and looked at each other with a meaningful smile on their faces and said: "General can't do anything to us, because he can't find us."

"And before he kills you, we will expose the truth and then kill you and let your body rot somewhere in the dark corners of the capital where no one will ever find you."

Arin refused to do it because he knew his father's true power, that very few know in the entire kingdom, and he thus fears him for his deeds.

He begged and promised to do anything they required him to do, but they did not show mercy to him and told him to either do the deed or kill himself.

Things changed after that day, as Arin was constantly torn between his fear of the future and what would happen to him if the truth was exposed that he was fake Heir and not a noble, the General or other Nobles would kill him to remove the stains on the Nobles prestige and the fear of his so called father who was his nightmare as he couldn't muster up the courage to even try something that can harm him, let alone kill him?

But while he was in his own inner turmoil, everyone around him changed in their ways they treat him, as the guards and servants started to ignore him and his orders with some even going as far to insult him in various ways.
