Who told you this novel was slop!? From my perspective, it's absolutely a great novel! There are some parts that deserve some editing, but other than that, it's absolutely perfect in my eyes! I'm still on Chapter 4, but I'm enjoying this novel so much already! The comedy absolutely suits my tastes and it gives you the vibes of a seasonal anime! Just overall peak. Furthermore, for being a first time writer, you did good! Otsukaresama deshita, Author-sama! (Maids for the win)
