On his way
This poem has a focus on Siddhartha before he went on his path. That is why I name it On his way since it is the start of his long journey ahead of him. (A found poem inspired by Hermann Hesse's Siddhartha).
Shade of the house,
Sunshine on the river,
Siddhartha, the handsome Brahmin's son grew
While his mother sang,
His father's teachings
Pronounce Om silently,
This word of words
Say it inwardly with intake of breath.
Breathing out with all his soul,
Happiness in his father's heart
Of his son,
A prince among Brahmins,
Pride in his mother's breast,
She saw Siddhartha strong, handsome,
Love stirred in the hearts of young daughters
When Siddhartha walked
with king like eyes and slim figure,
Govinda loved him
Wanted to follow him.
Everybody loved Siddharth,
But himself not happy
Seeds of discontent within him,
"Your soul is the world"
Siddhartha join Samanas.
He ate once a day,
Never cooked food.
Fasted fourteen days,
Fasted twenty eight days,
One single goal,
To become empty
Of thirst,
Desire,
Dreams,
Pleasure,
And sorrow,
To let the self die.
