Silence. Not the heavy, loaded kind—but the kind that hollows out your bones.

I didn’t breathe. I didn’t even blink.

“What... what did you say?” I managed to whisper, though the voice didn’t sound like mine. It sounded like someone being strangled from the inside out. He is wrong, I just know, he is wrong...I don't know them, I've never met them before but I know...they can't, they didn't and if there is the tiniest possibility that they did, it's for a good reason although I can't think of a reason good enough to murder people... I'm going crazy
