When Carmen woke up the next morning, she found that the apartment was very quiet, contrary to what she expected. She couldn't trust this man who hated her but acted like he was doing her a favor. She knew that he was simply waiting for the right moment to strike and she also had to be ready at that moment to strike harder or else she was going to regret it dearly. She couldn't hurt him, that was for sure.
She was starving and yet she didn't even know where the kitchen was. She got up and started looking for it. She didn't know if she had the right to touch this man's things but she was his wife and had every right in her opinion.
When she found herself, she opened all the drawers and ended up finding her happiness which was not hidden so far away. She made herself breakfast but when she finished, she didn't have the strength to eat. She didn't even know if her husband had eaten or not and she didn't want to eat without him. Going to call her was going to be a sign of trouble since he already didn't want her at his place. She looked at her breakfast and walked out of the kitchen. She didn't know what she was going to do with her day to pass the time or even find an idea to get away from it all.
“What are you waiting for to leave?” She heard.
She turned around and saw him, he had already put on his sunglasses and was no longer wearing his clothes from the day before. She was dying to ask him how he managed to have clean clothes when he didn't like human presence but changed his mind. he already wanted her to leave and she shouldn't add to it.
“Can you make me some tea please?” Felix asked him.
Tea for him with a please accompanying his sentence? It sounded so wrong and it just reminded her of the night before when her mother-in-law had spoken to her so kindly because they wanted to sacrifice her by condemning her to a loveless marriage with no future. Was someone who desperately wanted her to leave her house saying please? It was incredible.
“You’re not going to let your husband die of thirst, let’s see!”
The height, he had just accepted that he was her husband, it was very beautiful to be true and she was not stupid but before she understood better, she had to do what he asked her. Prepare her tea.
“I want you to bring it to my room. I have things to classify there.”
Trap after trap. There were no children in the apartment to make things messy and she even said to herself that it took three years to put these things away. She would have been afraid that he wanted to abuse her but he couldn't. She put her thoughts aside and went to do as he asked.
When she finished, she poured it into a cup and placed it on a tray, she went towards her husband's room and when she was in front of it, she knocked. He waited a few seconds before asking her to enter. She didn't want to have malicious ideas but his mysterious air and his possibility of bipolarity pushed her to be wary.
She pushed the door but couldn't enter because he was directly in front of it. She had hoped to have the opportunity to enter in order to know what kind of person he was, but it must be believed that he had anticipated her ideas.
“You give me this tea or would you like me to beg you again.”
He spoke as if she had asked him to beg him the first time. It was he who decided to do it and not the other way around. He was so hateful at the end. She gave it to him and left. She didn't want to stay with a person who didn't even want to feel her presence.
She had nothing to do and even if she didn't have the man's permission, she wanted to keep herself busy doing something. She went into the kitchen and took out everything there was. She decided to cook, which she was also going to hasten to throw in the trash before he even realized it. It was simply because she wanted to keep busy.
She was so focused on what she was doing when she heard the doorbell ring. She was not at home and as long as he did not give her permission to do so, she could not take herself for the lady of the house.
“Why are you acting like you don’t hear the doorbell ring? Aren’t you going to open it or something?”
The fact of not having reacted was simply because she was avoiding problems but you have to believe even like that, she had not escaped. She quickly wiped her hands and went towards the door. She knew it could only be Hugo Lutero so, don’t panic.
When the door was opened, she opened her eyes wide seeing the people in front of her. the police ? but Felix was a disabled man who couldn't do something outside the law unless it was her but she hadn't killed anyone.
“Ms. Carmen Alvarez, you are under arrest for attempted murder by poisoning M. Felix Alvarez. You have the right to remain silent because anything you say will be used against you.”
She thought it was a joke until she was handcuffed. She looked at Hugo who was accompanying the police and the latter glared at her. She was dragged away without any gentleness. When she was about to disappear down the stairs, she turned around and saw her husband watching her from the door of her apartment.
