She didn't do that

It was seven o'clock in the evening when Elio went to prepare for his dinner as a farewell to his wife whom he now wanted more than anything but he did not think he could force fate at this point. It was impossible for him to do it. He didn't even know why he was making so much effort for her when she didn't deserve it. When he was ready, he left the room hoping that Bea had left after the day they had spent but to his great surprise, the latter was still there.

“Can I know where you’re going, darling?”

“I’m going to go out and be alone.”

He thought that was all when he saw the latter walking towards him. He didn't understand what she wanted to do when she took her car keys and put them in her bra. Something he didn't expect.

“Can I know what you’re doing?”

“You take me for an idiot, right? I know it’s this woman you’re going to see and why don’t you want me to come with you when it’s to finalize your divorce? Are you planning to do anything else with her?”
