Elio had not known why Carmen had left the bathroom without having finished treating him and yet it was she who had decided to do it. He didn't understand at all what had changed all of a sudden. All he had tried to do was reassure her and also because he wanted her to know that he still had hope for them. She still hadn't reached their room and that was completely normal because he hadn't asked her to join him. He wanted to ask her that so much but it felt like a hard test. It had been a long night and even though Hugo had asked him to take his time to think about the exams, he didn't want to think anymore. He wanted to be sure of what was really waiting for him. 


Having decided to take the children back to school and take the opportunity to go see Hugo, he had gotten up early to get ready. When he finished dressing, he came out of his dressing room and saw Laura holding a cup in her hand. He didn't accuse her of anything but he didn't want to see her around anymore.
