Underwater

"We'll get out once we're close to the singular spot."

The ride inside the submarine was one of the most awesome moments in all of Ishar's 29 years of life. Okay, maybe it was the second most awesome moment- right after he found out aliens existed.

The water around emitted a beautiful royal blue. Hundreds of tiny, colorful fish elegantly flaunted their artistic swimming. The striking emerald greens rose out of the shining sand, reaching for the sun. Overall, it looked more majestic than anything he had ever seen.

However, as soon as they reached within the 2 mile radius of the singular spot, everything suddenly became desolate. The water looked lifeless without the common hustle of fish. The only things worth seeing were the teams of scientists in submarines, and the grand palace of the Vedic kingdom!

Huge cliffs had been chipped apart to reveal the strong walls behind, with statues of red and gold towering over the sea bed. A plain floor carved with intricate markings and symbols spread down below. Ruins of the houses, pillars, pots, now served as a village for the- former- aquatic life.

Even through all the damage, it still held the aura of a grand, prosperous kingdom, reeking with the fragrance of knowledge and wisdom.

The only disadvantage was that it looked terribly hard to spot anything attracting Pralaya-1's electromagnetic waves. Suddenly, the submarine gave a hard jerk and the hatch of the submarine opened. The frontal high beam lights shone upon the surroundings, giving a clear view of the deep water.

Ishar, Naren and Tanik swam out of the submarine, breathing through their scuba-suits and talking through their installed earpieces. Ishar effortlessly cut through the cool water. He had always loved swimming since he was a child, and he had no intention of leaving the hobby over the years!

He swam towards a particularly beautiful vase, painted with pretty designs and scriptures, when he saw something flash a glimpse over the top. His heart skipped a beat.

Could it be that he had finally found the dimanium? He eagerly held up the vase, only to be disappointed upon seeing some gold coins inside it. He couldn't even swear upon such a beautiful vase.

He turned around and explored some more parts of the submerged kingdom. The pillars stood tall and were professionally carved to ultimate perfection. Every single detail stood out bright, as though it had never been submerged underwater for thousands of years.

Some scientists in submarines were excavating a particular part of the kingdom- a temple, with the most beautiful idol he had ever seen. There were no words left to describe it. Ishar had never felt more proud of being an Indian until now.

Ishar also noticed some pieces of wooden manuscripts, though the water had eroded and damaged them to such an extent that it was absolutely impossible to read them.

In the middle and around the borders of the floor, huge rocks had fallen off, making it hard to understand what was beneath them. Oddly enough, the green 'beam' of the singular spot was a bit more visible from down below, and there were a group of scientists in scuba suits huddled around it, trying to find out how it stopped making technology work.

Ishar wandered off towards the cliff wall, a sanctuary that had preserved the kingdom below, when he saw something that made him question his eyes for a second.

After blinking (quite stupidly) for about five seconds, Ishar realized that it was a radiant white glow, emitting off the water. In fact, there were two bright glows beside one another! He felt as though he were a child who had just been given his favorite chocolate.

He swimmed cautiously towards it, wanting to see if his suspicions were true.

However, the reality of the situation brought him to a breathtaking stop- as floating before him, was the silhouette of a giant fish, with glowing eyes!

His vision was blurred by the distance, but when he got nearer, he stupidly realized that it wasn't a giant fish, but a submarine with its front lights on. Ishar's cheeks flushed red, and he mentally thanked God for not letting Pratap come alongside him- he would have never let this incident be forgotten.

He would say, "Hey, Ishar! Remember that one time when you behaved like an idiot, and thought that a submarine was a giant fish with white eyes? Hahahaha!"

Ishar's thoughts were crushed when he observed something peculiar on the side of the submarine's wall. It was a logo. More of a name. And it boldly read out the words- WeaponsR Industries.
