Seafarer

Ishar gripped his gun tightly and gritted his teeth. He could see Naren clutching his fists from the side of his eye.

"If you do not start making sense, right now, I swear I will shoot you."

Rathore, or the duplicate of him, or maybe even the real one, sighed and scratched his forehead. It was only after a second that Ishar noticed that he wasn't actually scratching his forehead. He watched in confusion as Rathore peeled off some skin (or mask as Ishar later on realized).

In five minutes, that person had taken off the mask to reveal a completely different person beneath. He looked to be older than Ishar, maybe in his late 30's. Ishar and Naren looked at him incredulously.

"You know, we can arrest you for that." Naren said.

The man looked at him desperately. "No, please listen. I will tell you everything. My name is Mahendra Moriya. There is something going on. Something big. I don't know how you know about the aliens, or the global destruction scheme, but you should know that we have only 27-"

"27 days left to save India. Yeah. I know." Ishar interrupted, clearly confused at what was going on.

Mahendra (as he said his name was) looked at them curiously. "But, but how do you guys know? Nobody knows except…a few people."

"How do you know in the first place?" Ishar asked.

"Well, my ancestor were the Moriya seafarers-"

That's when it hit Ishar. Venkatesh's words floated back into his head.

'Adiratha took the help of the tribal warriors of Aramal and the Moriyas of the vast naval force, to throw the bags of dimanium into a place almost impossible to obtain- the sea.'

The Moriyas. Mahendra Moriya's ancestors were none other than the navy who helped Adiratha dispose of the dimanium. But then why wasn't Venkatesh and Mahendra working together?

"So, you know all about the weapons and everything. What were you doing with the weapon blueprints and dimanium search, at that 'scientific camp' at the edge of the sea?" Naren asked.

Rathore grinned ever more sheepishly and a small blush appeared on his cheeks.

"Well, I started searching for the dimanium, based on the legends my grandfather told me. I wanted to protect it, but I couldn't risk the army finding out…though you found out about it somehow. I already knew about the astras due to the whole 'ancestors-only' thing. So I created the blueprints for them.

I decided to use Dev Rathore's identity to allow me to use all of his resources. I was so surprised when I saw that the Navy Captain had found an underwater Vedic Kingdom. By reading the scripts, I found out about the deadline, and so, I brought submarines and set up a camp to find the dimanium.

Oh, and about Nivedhan Iyer, I had no idea that Rathore had threatened him. As it turned out, Khurana, Gujar and Dev had already blackmailed Nivedhan for some illegal drug activity. It was only hours after this that I…borrowed Rathore's identity and locked him in the broom closet. Don't worry, he is not dead.

So, I had no idea what was going on when Khurana and Gujar came up to me, talking about 'successfully blackmailing someone'. They verbally dragged me towards his ship, and I played my part as Rathore, as the best I could. I saw it as my chance to explore this weird spot in the sea.

As a person who comes from a very marine background, I got suspicious when that particular part of the sea had no aquatic wildlife…and well, I guess you know the rest."
