Growth and First Street Fight

Jin woke up on Sunday morning after sleeping through the entire Saturday. His whole body felt heavy, but strangely stronger. When he got up and walked over to the mirror, he was shocked by what he saw. His forearms were more vascular, veins popping out, his abs were more defined, and something odd caught his attention — he looked… taller.

Jin grabbed the measuring tape he used to track his training progress and checked. He had grown 3 centimeters overnight, now standing at 1.78 meters.

— How is this possible? Growing three centimeters in a single night? — he muttered, frowning. — Must've been that insane training on Friday… my hormones must be at their limit right now.

Despite the surprise, a small smirk appeared on his face.

— Hm… this is good for getting the girls' attention.

He put on a tight t-shirt — one that used to be a bit loose but now clung to his muscles — and went downstairs for breakfast. His mother immediately noticed the difference in his physique, and Jin, not wasting the chance, bragged about how hard he'd been training so no one would be able to mess with him.

After a good meal, Jin decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. The weather was fresh, and the late morning sun made for a pleasant stroll. He walked about two kilometers when, passing by a narrow alley, he heard a weak call for help.

— Help… — it was a girl's voice.

Without hesitation, Jin stepped into the alley. There were three grown men, all covered in tattoos, intimidating a girl with European features, clear eyes, and wavy brown hair. The girl looked terrified, trying to stay away from them.

— Harassment in my father's territory? You guys are screwed. — Jin said in a low, cold voice.

One of the men, a chubby guy with a dragon tattoo on his back, stepped forward with a mocking grin.

— Who the hell are you, kid? — he growled.

— You don't need to know. — Jin replied calmly.

The other two laughed.

— What a cocky little punk. Hold her, Sin — me and Fat Baek will handle this brat.

Jin felt a hint of nervousness. Even though he'd trained with Seo Mira, he hadn't managed to land a single hit on her. But these guys were different.

— Mira's an elite guard… these guys are just fat thugs. I got this.

Fat Baek threw a slow punch at Jin, who dodged to the same side as the punch instead of the opposite, driving his elbow right into the man's bicep.

— You bastard! — Baek shouted, grabbing his arm in pain.

The other one, Sin, rushed in clumsily, trying to grab Jin.

— I thought I was an amateur… but you're a total loser. — Jin mocked.

When Sin bent down to grab him, Jin threw an uppercut to the man's chin, dropping him cold to the ground without even needing to take a stance.

Fat Baek recovered, trying to grab Jin from behind.

— You're dead, kid!

Without hesitating, Jin copied the spinning kick he had seen Leon — his blonde lackey from school — use once. It was meant to hit the stomach, but Jin decided to be crueler and nailed him right in the groin.

Fat Baek collapsed to the ground, groaning in pain.

— Trash… if you're gonna attack from behind, at least hit first, then talk.
