Episode 72:The Whisper of betrayal

The moonlight bathed the mountains in silver. A heavy air settled over the academy as Jin, Yooha, Bo, and the team stood around the war table.

Maps. Seal fragments. Names of enemy commanders.

Yooha's voice sliced through the silence.

"One of us… has been feeding information to Ghost Gordon."

Everyone stiffened.

He Wang narrowed his eyes. "You sure?"

She nodded. "I found traces of shadow mana in the west tower. It's a Ghost Gordon technique. Someone's hiding something."

Jin looked around the circle. "We've fought too hard for betrayal now."

Bo tried to lighten the mood. "Well, it's not me. I can barely keep secrets about surprise birthdays."

Meiqi glared. "Bo, not the time."

But before anyone could speak again—

A loud alarm rang through the academy.

> BOOM!

A northern barrier had been breached. Students screamed in the distance.

"Enemy scouts!" shouted Han.

Everyone launched into motion. Jin grabbed Laughing Blade, and Yooha's eyes glowed faintly — her powers already building.

Scene Break: Northern Wall

The battle wasn't massive — but it was a message.

Ghost Gordon's shadows slithered through the trees, testing the defenses. Jin struck them down with precision. Yooha moved like lightning, cutting through illusion clones.

But as the last scout fell…

A whisper echoed in Yooha's mind.

> "You can't protect them all."

She clutched her head, staggering.

Jin caught her. "Yooha?!"

She steadied herself. "I'm okay… I just… heard something."

From the treeline, a silhouette watched.

Someone cloaked. Someone wearing their academy's badge.

Back at the dorm, tension brewed. The group sat in silence.

Jin: "We need to find the traitor."

Bo, unusually serious: "Because next time… it won't be scouts. It'll be death."
