Third, Su Chen wanted to build good relations with Song Linfei's team. Despite his recent massacre driving away Gao Qiqiang's men, he knew it was temporary. Once supplies ran out, he'd become a target again.

Song Linfei hadn't joined the last fight and showed friendliness. For safety, it was smart to maintain good ties and avoid enemies on all sides.
