"Brunhilde, damn it, someone's looking for you, and it's a freaking rare Centaurian!"
Just as Brunhilde was reminiscing about the prey she had just captured, the security guard's voice reached her ears.
Brunhilde lifted her head, casting a disdainful glance at the source of the sound.
"Tell him to get lost!"
"Hmph, I said the same thing, but if it weren't for a red Yaka arrow pressing against my third heart, I wouldn't have bothered to inform you!"
As the guard spoke, he backed away, pushing open the bar's door and retreating inside.
Simultaneously, a sharp arrow with a tail fin flickering with red light hovered trembling against the guard's chest.
In an instant, everyone in the bar stood up, each drawing their weapons.
Only Brunhilde remained seated, scoffing at the guard and Yondu.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, it's been too long since anyone dared to cause trouble on the Sovereign's turf. Quite rare."
Saying this, Brunhilde slowly stood up, pulling an energy weapon from the outer side of her bandaged thigh.
Holding the gun in her hand, she strode confidently toward the door, casually snatching a cigarette from someone nearby and placing it in her mouth.
Taking a deep drag, Brunhilde exhaled smoke rings, using her free hand to stub the cigarette on another hunter's arm.
No one dared to interrupt her actions, not even the poor soul whose cigarette was taken or whose arm was used as an ashtray.
They all knew Brunhilde's temperament—it was better not to provoke her. The world was much nicer that way.
But if she were angered…
As they watched the increasingly furious Brunhilde, countless people began to tremble, their hands unsteady even as they held their guns.
It was as if dark clouds were gathering on the horizon, casting a shadow over everyone. In the blink of an eye, lightning flashed, blinding them, followed by a thunderous roar!
In that moment, everyone seemed to shrink.
Amid this tense atmosphere, the only one who could laugh suddenly did.
Yondu chuckled, his raspy voice saying,
"Only you call him the Sovereign. Why not just call him by his name, Ego the Living Planet, tsk, tsk."
"Because this is his planet, his territory, and we're all here to make a living under his rule!"
Brunhilde sneered in response, then approached Yondu, casually pushing the hapless guard aside.
"I'm the Brunhilde you're looking for. So, you want to drive this Yaka arrow into my heart?"
As she spoke, she reached out and firmly grasped the Yaka arrow, which immediately began to struggle.
"Whoosh!"
Yondu whistled sharply, and the arrow instantly pulled free from Brunhilde's grip. Her face stiffened, and she unconsciously raised her hand to examine it.
Her left hand was drenched in blood!
But the blood quickly vanished, and her wound disappeared in the blink of an eye.
The Yaka arrow floated back to Yondu, who casually returned it to his quiver.
In a slightly milder tone, Yondu said,
"Don't worry, I mean no harm. I just wanted to meet you.
As for the earlier offense, who can blame them for not even giving me a chance to see you?"
"Oh?"
Brunhilde smiled, returned her pistol to its holster on her thigh, and turned to walk back to her seat.
She asked softly,
"I didn't know I had an admirer like you. Tsk, tsk, it's been too long since anyone wanted to see me. I'm usually the one seeking out those stinking men.
But we all know that whoever I meet becomes a star in the arena.
The only difference is that some remain stars their entire lives, their portraits carved into the arena walls.
Most, however, only shine for a moment on the day they step into the arena.
Of course, they often shine exceptionally brightly that day, drenched in blood!"
Without turning her head, she asked Yondu, who was following her,
"So, what kind of person do you think you are? And what do you want?"
"Heh, I have no intention of becoming a spectacle in that arena. I came to see you only to ask about Asgard…!!"
Boom!!
Smack!!
Yondu's words were cut off as Brunhilde abruptly turned and delivered a fierce punch to his face!
In an instant, Yondu crashed through the tavern's wall, landing on the rarely used street outside.
Inside the bar, everyone watched in horror as Brunhilde, looking displeased, wiped her right fist and said,
"Dare to mention that damn place to me? Heh, doesn't everyone know that Asgard is what disgusts me the most!
Because I've never managed to get one of their gladiators—they keep their people too tightly controlled!"
As she spoke, Brunhilde's expression gradually calmed. She returned to her seat, leisurely observing Yondu as he stood up.
Yondu wiped the blood flowing from his mouth.
"She's a real firecracker, heh. If I weren't so old, I'd definitely want to have a fling with you, haha!"
Yondu laughed and teased, then whistled softly. The Yaka arrow shot out of its quiver, heading straight for Brunhilde.
But in that instant, a figure glowing with blue light dashed forward, intercepting Yondu's arrow in mid-air.
"Stakar, you're still so fast. I've always said you're not man enough—a real man can't be too fast!"
From above the blue figure, a teasing voice emerged from a tiny spaceship.
Then, Aleta, Charlie-27, and Major Victory Astro jumped down.
Stakar glanced at them, casually returning Yondu's arrow to his hand.
Flying to Yondu, Stakar said disapprovingly,
"We're here to ask for help, not to fight. Have you been a pirate in space for too long, forgetting the manners of a free man?"
After scolding Yondu, Stakar approached Brunhilde and nodded slightly.
"Hello, Brunhilde. We are the leaders of the Ravagers and the Free People. We've come only to meet you."
"Hmph, finally someone who can talk!"
Brunhilde smiled in satisfaction, addressing the stern-faced Stakar.
"I've heard of you. Your influence is significant in the Centaurian system, and you have territories in the Milky Way too. But what does that have to do with me?
Normally, I wouldn't bother with you, but honestly, I'm a bit curious about your intentions.
Tell me what you want. Maybe we can make a deal!"
Hearing Brunhilde's words, Stakar nodded in satisfaction. After giving Yondu a stern look, he said to Brunhilde,
"Our blue-skinned friend here, please forgive his offense. He's so desperate because his son is currently imprisoned."
"Heh, I think I understand!"
Brunhilde laughed.
"It seems his son was captured by some fool and thrown into the Sovereign's arena, haha!"
Brunhilde burst into laughter, reaching out to poke Stakar's chest without restraint.
Amid Stakar's growing displeasure, Brunhilde scoffed,
"That's your own damn problem. I never meddle in such matters. Go find the Sovereign yourselves!
But I suggest you don't bother. The Sovereign is currently replenishing the arena with new fighters because his last batch was completely wiped out!"
As she spoke, she whistled at Yondu.
"Hear that, you idiot? They were all wiped out. Your son might be among them!"
"Please stop your speculation, Ms. Brunhilde. His child wasn't taken to Sakaar's arena!"
Stakar interjected, explaining loudly to Brunhilde.
"Think about why we've come specifically to find you. His son is imprisoned in Asgard's prison!
That's why we need you to help us enter that realm under a legitimate pretext. After all, you're their Valkyrie, and you…?!!"
Boom!!
Smack!!
Stakar was instantly sent flying, knocked aside by Brunhilde, who was so agitated that even her hair floated.
Meanwhile, seeing Stakar knocked to the ground, Yondu laughed loudly.
But Stakar quickly rose, transforming into Aleta's female form!
"Leave it to me, you fool, Stakar! I'll teach this bitch a lesson—I've never liked her anyway!!"
Aleta roared, charging at the Valkyrie. In an instant, the two women were locked in combat.
The situation changed abruptly, and everyone on Sakaar who had been watching rushed toward them.
As more enemies approached, Yondu's laughter grew louder. He shouted,
"This place is full of damn slave traders. You don't mind if I take them out, do you? Haha!"
"Don't kill too many. Make it quick!"
As the Ice Giant spoke, countless ice crystals materialized, completely surrounding the tavern.
No one inside could get out, and no one outside could get in!
Major Victory took the opportunity to pull a vibranium shield from his back, identical to Captain America's.
He shouted as he leaped into the air,
"Quickly subdue Sakaar's most notorious slave trader, Brunhilde. We need to leave here soon.
Otherwise, just the gladiators naturalized by Ego the Living Planet will be more than enough to handle us!
I'll protect our ship. You'd better return before I can't hold out any longer, and before our ship is destroyed!"
The battle intensified instantly. Brunhilde was quickly surrounded by Yondu's group. Yondu's Yaka arrow swiftly eliminated all enemies within the ice crystal barrier.
Charlie-27 tightly held Brunhilde, while Aleta relentlessly punched her dark face.
As for the Ice Giant, he maintained the ice barrier while reminding everyone,
"Hurry up. I see over eighty ships approaching!"
"Don't worry. I'll give her one last punch. It's been too long since I've been knocked around like this. Damn it, truly damn it!!"
...
Thus, countless Sakaaran scavengers, powerless against the ice crystals, watched helplessly as Yondu's group abducted the unfortunate Brunhilde.
By the time Brunhilde regained consciousness from her beating, she was already aboard a spaceship headed for Asgard…
Beside her, the Ice Giant was using his ice knife to peel fruit taken from Sakaar.
As he peeled, he advised her,
"If I were you, I'd keep my mouth shut. No matter what you say, it won't change your destined future.
Your violent actions have confirmed your identity as a Valkyrie. We only need your identity.
Imagine when the Asgardians question us, and we immediately hand over their long-betrayed Valkyrie, who has become a slave trader for Ego the Living Planet.
Just with that, we can easily secure the release of our child!"
"You…!!"
Brunhilde struggled violently, but countless ice crystals held her firmly in place.
Looking at the defiant Valkyrie, the Ice Giant chuckled.
"Stop struggling. You can't escape. My ice crystals can even trap a star-swallower for a few seconds. How could you possibly escape?"
As he spoke, the Ice Giant smiled, holding the peeled fruit and standing up.
"The ship will reach Asgard in seventeen days. Prepare to meet your Odin once again!
I must say, I'm truly looking forward to it. It's my first time meeting that great deity.
Just seventeen more days, haha!"
