Clang… clang…
Bang!
Following a series of metallic clatters, a giant greatsword, taller than Sean himself, flew in from the doorway. It scattered several of the black smoke snakes before falling into Sean's arms.
Holding the hilt of the greatsword with both hands, Sean swung it fiercely. The long, wide blade directly shattered several of the shadowy serpents. Then, holding the massive sword and enduring the attacks of the remaining smoke snakes, he charged towards Voldemort.
This greatsword was left behind by a knight piece from the giant wizard's chess set outside. When Sean had passed through that chamber, he had happened to see this sword not far from the unconscious Ron. At the time, he had kept its location in mind, and it turned out he actually had a use for this immense weapon that basically no normal person could wield.
His Giant Strength had its limits, but swinging this greatsword was still effortless. Like swinging a wooden stick, Sean waved the giant blade, blasting away all the black smoke snakes that blocked his path. In the blink of an eye, he rushed in front of Voldemort.
Clang!
The giant greatsword struck the ground, leaving a deep gash in the stone floor.
Voldemort, controlling Quirrell's body, turned into a black shadow, sweeping past Sean and rushing directly towards Harry. He was running out of time. If he continued, not to mention Dumbledore, even if McGonagall and the others arrived, the current Voldemort would have no ability to resist. Therefore, he did not choose to continue fighting Sean but chose to get the Philosopher's Stone from Harry, who had been knocked unconscious by one of the black smoke snakes.
"Petrificus Totalus!"
A grey-white light hit Voldemort.
Ever since the fight had begun, Sean had been on guard against Voldemort making a move for the Stone. When he saw Voldemort bypass him while charging forward himself, he used the Petrification Curse that had reached LV2, successfully making Voldemort stiffen for a crucial moment.
In the previous battle, Sean had been using his fists, relying on his physical strength. He occasionally used magic for defense only. Although the Shield Charm was a rather profound spell, Sean's focus on close combat had inevitably made Voldemort underestimate his magical abilities.
Therefore, with Sean's deliberate planning, the extremely weak Voldemort was still hit by Sean's Petrification Curse and froze for a moment. It was this moment that gave Sean his chance.
Dragging the giant greatsword with both hands, Sean swung it violently. The moment Voldemort regained his ability to move and tried to dodge, Sean swung the sword out and slammed it heavily into him, like a baseball bat, sending Voldemort flying backward. He crashed into the Mirror of Erised, which then shattered against the wall behind.
"Damn Squib's son, I will kill you!" Voldemort's voice hissed from Quirrell's lips.
"At least the current you can't kill me!"
Charging in front of Voldemort again, Sean held the giant greatsword with both hands and thrust it fiercely into the wall, pinning Quirrell's body, which was already on the verge of collapse.
The greatsword pierced through Quirrell's body, half of the blade embedding itself in the wall, completely pinning him there.
Watching Sean release the hilt and slowly retreat to create distance, Quirrell's throat emitted a series of dying wails. Soon, with his last breath, Quirrell's body completely slumped, hanging on the greatsword. Blood flowed from his body to the ground, gradually forming a pool.
"Hoo…"
Exhaling, Sean took half a step back and sat down hard on the ground.
Even with Giant Strength, the previous battle had truly exhausted all his strength. Now Sean's legs were trembling, and he didn't have an ounce of strength left.
Sizzle… sizzle… sizzle…
Wisps of black smoke rose from Quirrell's body, gradually forming a humanoid shape. It was Voldemort in his remnant soul state.
"Sean Bulstrode, I remember you. I will definitely kill you! I…"
"Shut up and get lost!"
Before Voldemort could finish his harsh words, Sean raised his hand and sent a blast of fire from his wand at the remnant soul.
The orange fireball hit Voldemort's spectral form and exploded. Although it didn't cause any real harm, it was equivalent to slapping Voldemort across the face and making him shut up.
The black smoke twisted and then disappeared, vanishing quickly into the cracks in the wall.
Sean watched it go. He knew the whole thing was finally over, and his plan to steal the kill had worked. Nice. Now it was time to check out his rewards.
He sat down right where he was, opened his panel, and looked at the huge rewards he got from this fight. First up was Quirrell.

He felt a familiar double-pulse of energy.

[New Ability Acquired: Imperius Curse (LV2)]
[Extraction Complete!]
[New Ability Acquired: Plant Specimen Production Method (LV4)]
These were from Quirrell. Sean was expecting two abilities, but what he got was way beyond what he expected. A level 2 Imperius Curse? That was one of the Unforgivable Curses, but it had a lot of uses. He'd just have to be super careful with it so no one found out.
But a level 4 Plant Specimen Production Method? Sean was speechless. He really didn't think Quirrell was the type to have hobbies like that. After all that work and energy, after finally managing to steal the kill and get two chances at abilities, he got a skill for making plant displays. Sean could only hope Voldemort's rewards weren't so... weird. Someone as big and bad as Voldemort couldn't be into playing with flowers and plants, right?
Thinking about that, Sean looked at the next set of prompts for Voldemort's remnant soul.

But right after that, a new stream of messages popped up.

[Obtained: Talent: Magic Power Awakening (2/7)]
So, in the end, Voldemort's soul gave him two abilities. One was the max-level Smoke Rope Curse. That must have been the magic Voldemort was using through Quirrell's body before. It was probably way stronger than what he saw since Quirrell's body was likely holding it back.
But the thing that really caught his eye was the new talent, "Magic Power Awakening," which he got instead of the Horcrux method. From the name, it sounded like it would let him have multiple magical awakenings…
Just then, Sean's mind suddenly went blank. And then, he passed out completely.
