Alexina POV.

"Will you slow down!?"

I charged through the undergound to find this damn script.

Once Grayson was sure that it was clear and we were the only two people in here, I bolted away causing him to decide to complain for the past half an hour.

"Alexina!" He snapped and I ignored him as I turned the corner to see a black frame on the wall.

Grabbing onto it. I saw that the frame is empty. Nothing! Absolutely nothing! Is this a joke?

This must be a joke.

Throwing the frame onto the floor, I watched as it shattered. Glass flew across the floor and the wooden outline broke into small pieces.

"Lexi! Calm down," Grayson whispered as he stepped closer to me. He placed his hand on my shoulder but pulled away instantly, frowning, holding his hand.

"What?" I asked and he flashed me a wary look.

"You're hot."

"Grayson- now is not the time for-"

"I mean your temperature," he groaned and I rolled my eyes before eyeing him over warily.

"Are you okay? You look like you've been shot." I laughed as I turned away and began to walk.

This was a waste of time. There was absolutely no reason for us to even be here because someone has already found the script.

And you know what!? I would be fine. I am fine.

I'm not even annoyed that I'm wanted dead! A lot of people would love to see an elemental die but in most cases... its unlikely.

Bennett. They killed Bennett. How am I supposed to stay calm or even act normal when the people who killed Bennett are here!?

"Erm... Lexi?" I heard Grayson call my name and I spun around only to see him a few meters away from me.

He hasn't moved from the spot.

"What!?" I snapped as I stormed over to see what the hell he is looking at.

Can he just follow instructions for one minute!?

Glancing down at the floor, I saw a teabag stained colour piece of fabric, resting on top of a piece of wood.

Crouching down, I carefully moved the pieces of wood out of the way, naking sure not to cut my hand on any glass, I pulled the string feeling piece of cloth from the wood.

The language written is unreadable. I don't even know if it is a language it looks that messed up.

The roses in the corner along with the signature of Alexandor Windsor at the bottom of the fabric told me everything I needed to know.

Alexandor Windsor.

That old bastard.

There is only one issue with this but I can't think for it just now.

"Alexina what is that?" Grayson asked. Worry filling his voice as he ran a hand through his hair.

Standing up, I grinned before turning it around so that he can see the black squiggles.

"This..." I paused. "This is the script."

"As in- Alexandor Windsor?" Grayson shook his head and held up his hand. "There is no way- its... its impossible."

"I don't think it is Grayson. If we can get someone to read this. This could help Abigail and Malin. Just imagine the look on Lucian's face," I grinned as I carefully wiped the dirt and droplets of water from the fabric.

"This is insane." Grayson sighed and I shook my head at him.

"You wanted in."

"Now I want out."

"Nobody will protest against you leaving."

"You'll need me one day Lexi," Grayson smirked at me as he glanced around, his eyes stopping at the ancient drawings on the walls.

"I highly doubt that."

-----

"You screamed."

"I did not."

"He did."

"Haha you screamed like a girl!"

"Thanks Lexi. See what you've started."

"You started it by screaming like a baby Billy." I tapped his head before sitting myself down on the couch next to Connor.

According to Connor, TJ and Grayson aren't going to be home until later tonight so he invited me, Billy and Hudson over for a movie night.

Something that we always did on a Friday night back when we never attended this place.

Malin and Abigail were invited but they claimed that they wanted to carry on with their investigation so I left to come and see the boys.

After last night, I decided with Abigail that I didn't want to be on the front line.

I didn't explain why. I don't have to. But I don't want what happened to Bennett to happen to me. It was a long night and eventhough we found the script, I'm not willing to put my life in even more danger just so we can find a crystal.

Settling into the film, I pulled a blanket over me and Connor. He grabbed the popcorn before Hudson could and Billy scowled as me and Connor deliberately ate it infront of them.

"I had a problem with Zinapanini today," Connor whispered and I shook my head with a smirk.

"Its Zinapoli Connor." I replied and he shook his head.

"Its the same thing. Anyway..." he trailed off. "According to him, he is in our power demonstration class."

"Since when?" I scrunched my face up, my eyes focusing on the TV as I watched a man recieve an axe to the arm.

"Since today apparently." Connor shrugged and I already knew what he was planning on doing.

"Don't you dare," I laughed and he rolled his eyes.

"You don't even know what I'm thinking."

"I don't need to. Whatever you're thinking, don't do it." I nudged him and he ruffled my hair before sinking back into the couch.

The room remained silent as we watched the film. Aside from the odd piece of food being thrown, I'd say its nice.

Its been a week since we have done something like this, we haven't had much time to be with each other and have a laugh and annoy one another like we usually do.

-----

Stirring awake, I felt my eyes flutter open at the sound of the door being forced open.

Taking my head off Connor's shoulder, I nudged him and he let out a loud groan.

Laughing at his confused face, he rubbed his eyes before bolting up off the couch at the sound of the door causing so much noise.

Billy and Hudson remained fast asleep, those two could sleep through a bloody earthquake.

I used to be able to, but after Bennett's death, I don't sleep much. The slightest noise could wake me up.

"Connor! Who the hell is that!?" I snapped as we both glanced towards the door.

Shrugging his shoulders, I followed him towards it. His hand carefully twisted the lock and once we heard the click, the door burst open.

Connor pulled me behind him as we stepped back. Two figures fell on the floor, I held back a laugh at what I'm currently watching and Connor switched the light on.

Taking a picture of what I'm currently witnessing, Connor watched both TJ and Grayson stumble to their feet.

The alcoholic odours flowing through the room made me scrunch up my nose.

"They're drunk." I stated and Connor rolled his eyes before gushing a gust of wind out of his hand.

The cold breeze made goosebumps rise on my skin and I watched as both TJ and Grayson groaned before looking up to see me and Connor above them.

"What the fuck man," TJ groaned. "Why aren't you asleep?" He asked Connor before realising that I was stood beside him.

"You woke us up. Hudson and Billy are still sleeping," Connor spat. "Get up and go to your room,"

"I don't take orders from you," TJ laughed and Connor nudged me and I clenched my jaw before allowing a flame to appear ontop of my palm.

"Your room. Now." Connor growled as he pointed his hand in the direction of the first room.

TJ flinched in fear as he stared at my hand. Struggling to jump to his feet, he held onto the door frame and used it for balance.

Shaking my head at their behaviour, I grabbed my phone and shoved it into my pocket.

Luckily I'm in a tracksuit so when I step outside it won't be as cold.

"Whoa? Where are you going Lexi?" Connor asked. "Stay. Its nearly four in the morning."

"Its okay," I glanced down at Grayson who was currently hugging Connor's leg.

He is dressed in a red shirt and black ripped jeans, finishing off the look with a leather jacket and my eyes wondered to his current torso which is on show, as are his abs.

"Yeah- I'm going to go."

"See what you have done fangs!?" Connor snapped before kicking Grayson off his leg. "Get the hell off me you blood sucking fool."

"I'm not a blood sucking fool." Grayson grunted as he tried to stand up. "I'm a sexy blood sucking fool." He smirked as he winked at me while gripping the couch.

"You wink at her again and I'll snap off your fangs and shove them up your ass!" Connor scolded as he whacked Grayson around the back of the ear.

Shaking my head at the sight infront of me, I grabbed my phone from the table and coat from the door.

"Message me when your home!"

"I will. Don't kill them." I smiled before closing the door and heading down the stairs.

I don't trust elevators.

Pulling out my phone to see that it is indeed four in the morning, I groaned as I've got to try and fit some form of decent hours sleep in my system within the next four hours.

"Oh sorry-" I stopped when I saw those big brown curls and smirked. "Its you."

"Move out of my way Valentine." Lucian spat and I scoffed at him.

"You are such a dick." I shook my head as I carried on walking down the stairs after brushing past him.

"You better learn to be careful here. You already have enemies."

"You need to learn that I don't care Lucian. The quicker the better."

"Or what?" He mocked, glaring down at me on the stairs.

"I'll end you if I get the chance. Don't test me."

"You have no place here Alexina. Your kind are the odd ones out. All you have is the respect from your ranking." I clenched my jaw as the words left his mouth.

How dare he.

At lease I have respect! That's more than he'll ever have.

I'm not part of a family or force that kill for fun. I'm a protector. I am a force of nature.

He and his kind are just headaches.

"At least I've got the respect of our people. You and your kind are cowards. If you carry on with this kind of behaviour, you're going to make a lot of enemies. It won't just be Elementals."

With those last words, I walked off before he could protest and say anything else.

The last thing I need is a member of the Zinapoli family testing my waters.

In our world, its not just respect. Its understanding and loyalty, two things his kind don't have.

While Abigail may be an odd one out when it comes to friendships with Wizards, she isn't an odd one out when it comes to loyalty and understanding.

I haven't seen those sides to her yet.

Lucian and his family have always been a problem. The Zinapoli name has always come with negativity.

They will never change.
