In the next breath, he slammed his fist against the wall—right behind her. The force rattled the frame, and she flinched as he stepped closer, fury radiating from him.



"Are you out of your mind, Nabi?" he growled, his hand tightening around his waist as if restraining himself.

"I'm the one in charge here!"

His eyes bore into hers, veins throbbing at his temple, gaze sharp enough to kill.
