Chapter 88: Kizaru Cheating?

"Huh?" Queen looked at King in surprise. "You don't know about the new entertainment app?"

King shook his head, clearly clueless. He had been dealing with all kinds of matters all day and hadn't had time to check his phone for updates.

"Honor of Kings is out! I was just about to try it, but after seeing how Boss reacted... it might be a bit dangerous," Queen said, half-joking, though there was a glimmer of curiosity in his eyes.

"...You're afraid of danger?" King gave Queen a look of disdain, his voice full of scorn.

"Hahaha, the more dangerous it is, the more I like it! I'm gonna go back and figure out how it works!" Queen laughed heartily and turned to leave, leaving King standing there alone, staring at the new app icon on his phone with a hesitant expression.

"...Forget it, I'll check it out too. Might as well see what's so fun about it," King muttered, a note of resignation in his tone.

He wasn't the type who cared for entertainment, but seeing both Queen and Kaido react like that, he figured he might as well try it out.

Meanwhile, thousands of miles away, Ron was laughing uncontrollably as he looked at the backend data. "This guy Kaido... His emotional swings are wilder than a rollercoaster..."

He casually tweaked the matchmaking system. "Tomorrow, I'll give him a five-loss streak bundle. Heh heh..."

Ron's laughter echoed through the night. The greater Kaido's emotional fluctuations, the more entertaining the game became.

...

At Marineford, inside Admiral Kizaru's office.

Under the warm yellow light, Kizaru was sprawled lazily on a leather sofa, long legs resting casually on the coffee table.

He was watching the latest Marine propaganda video he starred in, nodding appreciatively from time to time. "Hmm... That was really well shot~"

"The angle on this shot could be improved a little more~" He slowly took a screenshot and was about to send it to the editing team when he noticed a strange app icon next to TikTok—two crossed swords stabbing through a skull, glaring against a dark red background.

"Oh my, what's this new thing~?" Kizaru pushed up his sunglasses and clicked on it with interest.

The intro animation opened with Roger's execution scene, making him raise an eyebrow. "How scary~ They even brought out the Pirate King~"

But when he saw the shattered treasure map split into two crystals, his eyes narrowed slightly behind the lenses. "Interesting~"

The system automatically recommended him a hero, and Kizaru casually accepted, starting his first match.

As soon as the system voice said, "All troops attack," his fingers turned into afterimages on the screen.

Even though the hero's walk animation was slow, his real-time speed was outrageous. The moment the enemy jungler jumped out of the bushes, Kizaru had already fired off his skill.

"Hiding in the bushes? Can you hide from light?"

He sipped his coffee leisurely, a playful smile tugging at his lips as he watched the enemy hero whiff their ambush completely.

After just two games, Kizaru effortlessly crushed the beginner bots.

He stretched lazily and strolled out of the Novice Village at the speed of light.

"This level of AI isn't even a warm-up~" He crossed his legs and tapped the screen. "Let's go another round~" His tone was relaxed, but there was clear anticipation in his eyes.

What followed were pure highlight reels.

Every time the enemy tried to ambush him, Kizaru would react at the speed of light, dodging skills and immediately countering with a clean combo to secure the kill.

"Did I send you back to spawn again? That's so sad~" He looked at the retreating enemy marksman and casually pushed the tower. "But this is how games should be played~"

Outside the office, the Marine guards on duty exchanged glances.

They had never seen Admiral Kizaru so talkative. All the repeated "Oh my~" and the sheer energy he had were downright bizarre.

At the same time,

In the Honor of Kings backend monitoring room, Ron stared at Kizaru's outrageous 100% dodge rate and didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

"This guy... Is he using his Devil Fruit power inside the game?"

He opened the matchmaking interface. "Looks like I need to find him some special teammates..."

...

At Marineford, in the Marshal's office.

Sengoku put down the stack of documents and rubbed his tired eyes.

After a few hours of watching TikTok videos, he was feeling a bit fatigued.

Just as he was about to rest, he noticed a new icon on his phone—Honor of Kings.

"Hmm? What's this new app?" Sengoku adjusted his glasses and clicked on it out of curiosity.

Meanwhile, in the lounge next door, Garp sat cross-legged, munching senbei while scrolling on his phone. He too spotted the app and immediately perked up. "Oh? A game? Way better than watching videos!"

Soon, both of them had finished the Beginner's Tutorial almost simultaneously.

The soft game light reflected off Sengoku's lenses as he examined the hero skill descriptions with academic rigor.

"This Luban No.7 looks promising..." Sengoku muttered. But the moment he opened the purchase screen, his eyes widened. "What? The cheapest hero costs 100,000 Berries?!"

Garp leapt up. "100,000 Berries?! That's enough to buy a mountain of senbei!" He scratched his head, suddenly reminded of the food bill he lost to Sengoku in last month's card game. His energy immediately deflated.

Sengoku hesitated for a long time. In the end, he tapped the recharge button. "To study this new form of entertainment... I guess this investment is necessary."

He gritted his teeth and topped up 100,000 Berries to unlock Luban No.7.

"Hahaha!" Garp roared with laughter at Sengoku's pained expression. "No way I'm falling into that trap!" He waved confidently. "I'll use free heroes and grind it out!"

Soon, both were in their own matches.

Sengoku's Luban No.7 moved carefully through the jungle, eyes sharp. "There's probably an ambush in that bush..." He adjusted his glasses and fired a scouting skill from afar.

Garp, on the other hand, picked freebie Arthur and dove headfirst into enemy crowds, cutting through everything in sight.

"Hahaha! This is awesome!" he laughed, smashing everything that moved, completely ignoring tactics.

Oddly enough, both of them found themselves addicted to killing enemy heroes.

Every time they secured a kill:

"Justice's judgment!" Sengoku declared, pushing up his glasses with pride.

"Hahaha! Eat this punch!" Garp roared, practically swinging his phone.

Marine soldiers soon started hearing strange shouts echoing from the Marshal's office:

"Watch out for that bush!"

"Don't run!"

"Time for the ultimate!"

One Marine on duty quietly messaged a colleague: "Hey... Should we download this game too?"

"Definitely. I can't beat the Fleet Admiral in real life, but I refuse to lose to him in a game!"

"Heh... Then let's queue up!"
