Chapter 113: The Fatui Rebels Again

Shao Yun's gaze rested on Ganyu's slightly surprised face as he gently nodded.

"Yes, my pale pink horse—her name is 'Carrot'. And that ivory-gold horse over there—his name is 'Buell', he belongs to Lumine. So, are you coming back with us, or do you want to stay here a bit longer?"

Ganyu tilted her head slightly and looked toward the distant horizon, as if searching for an answer.

After a moment, she withdrew her gaze and spoke softly, "I'll head back. This little excursion has lasted long enough."

Shao Yun nodded again and turned to Zhongli. "Mr. Zhongli, you can ride behind me." Then, turning to Ganyu with a smile, he added, "Miss Ganyu, please ride behind Lumine."

Ganyu nodded and approached Buell. She gently stroked his mane, as if communicating with him.

This scene piqued Paimon's curiosity. She blinked and asked, "Miss Ganyu, can you talk to horses?"

Ganyu smiled gently and replied with a nod, "More or less. Maybe because I'm a half-adeptus Qilin, I can understand some of what they say. Buell says he's very happy to meet me."

Shao Yun's eyes gleamed with curiosity. He turned to his own 'Carrot' and asked, "Then what did my horse say?"

Ganyu walked over to 'Carrot', observed her carefully for a moment, and then turned to Shao Yun with a smile. "She says she's happy to travel with you, and that she wants to witness all the beauty of this journey together."

Shao Yun beamed with joy. 'Level four affinity is no joke. All that feeding didn't go to waste!'

He reached out and gently patted 'Carrot' on the neck, his voice full of gratitude. "Thank you, girl. I'm glad to have you with me on this journey too."

The evening sun cast its glow over the winding path, spreading like a ribbon of golden silk.

Shao Yun, Lumine, and Paimon, along with Zhongli and Ganyu, rode their horses swiftly toward Liyue Harbor.

Along the way, the sun stretched each of their shadows long across the path, like a living painting. Shao Yun looked back at Zhongli with eyes full of anticipation and respect. "Mr. Zhongli, don't forget the promise we made earlier."

Zhongli nodded lightly, his voice calm and resolute.

"Rest assured."

Shao Yun paused for a moment, then suddenly remembered something. "Mr. Zhongli, once Lumine's issue is resolved, I'd like to talk to you about something personal. Would you be willing to hear me out?"

Zhongli inclined his head slightly, his gaze deep and serene, as if he could see into one's soul.

"Of course."

The golden light of the setting sun bathed the ancient, majestic buildings of Liyue Harbor, clothing the city in a golden mantle.

As Shao Yun and the others rode in, the scene before them immediately tightened their hearts.

They saw Millelith soldiers in full alert, standing in tight formation. The entire city seemed to be sealed off by an invisible barrier.

Ganyu dismounted and approached the blockade. Her elegant brows furrowed with confusion and concern as she asked one of the Millelith soldiers, "Excuse me, why is Liyue Harbor under such tight security? What happened?"

The soldier's expression was grave as he replied, "Lady Ganyu, the Fatui have stirred up chaos within the city. The situation is critical. Lady Ningguang has ordered a lockdown of Liyue Harbor—no one is allowed in or out."

Ganyu's heart sank at his words, her brows tightening.

"How could this happen!"

Shao Yun sighed. 'The Fatui rebels again! Just perfect!'

He then turned to Lumine. "Looks like they want to replay what they did in Mondstadt here in Liyue. Haven't they learned anything?"

Ganyu's worry deepened at Shao Yun's words. She knew well the threat the Fatui posed and understood the need to enter Liyue Harbor at once to assist Lady Ningguang in stabilizing the situation.

So she pleaded with the Millelith again. "We need to enter Liyue Harbor. Please let us through."

The soldier looked troubled. He knew these were Lady Ningguang's direct orders and not something to be taken lightly.

"Lady Ganyu, this is…"

"I vouch for these four with my honor!"

He hesitated for a moment, then finally nodded. "Since Lady Ganyu herself vouches for them, I have no further objections."

Ganyu let out a breath of relief and gave a nod to Shao Yun and the others.

They followed the soldier and entered Liyue Harbor smoothly.

Once inside, Ganyu grew visibly anxious. She dismounted before Lumine could even bring the horse to a halt. Turning to the group, she said, "This is where I must part ways. We need to head to Yuehai Pavilion immediately." Her tone left no room for doubt.

Paimon looked at her with worry. She understood the weight on Ganyu's shoulders. "Stay safe out there!"

Ganyu gave a slight nod and turned to leave, her figure quickly vanishing from view.

Paimon turned to the others, a hint of confusion on her face. "So… what do we do now?"

Still atop his horse, Shao Yun casually patted the animal's neck, as if everything was going according to plan.

He looked up, his voice filled with fearless determination, his eyes resolute. "Isn't it obvious? We wipe out the Fatui in Liyue!"

From behind him, Zhongli asked calmly, "So Mr. Shao Yun intends to resort to violence?"

Shao Yun nodded, completely unapologetic. "Exactly. The Fatui don't understand reason—only fists can make them obedient little lambs."

Zhongli remained silent for a moment before slowly dismounting. He looked at Shao Yun and said evenly, "Very well. I'm leaving then. I must visit Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. Their recent ties with the Fatui concern me."

With that, he turned and walked away.

Paimon nervously wrung her hands, her brow furrowed, her eyes glimmering with worry.

She looked up at Shao Yun, her voice trembling slightly. "Shao Yun, what do we do? Can we really handle the danger ahead?"

Still in the saddle, Shao Yun's figure remained firm and composed. He swapped out his revolver for a cowboy-style Blessing of the Goat revolver, with a carbine repeater and a pump-action shotgun slung on his back—fully geared and ready.

He turned, his gaze sharp and steady. "Don't worry, Paimon. I believe Childe has already followed us. He should know where the Morax's Husk is. Cut off the head of the snake—let's head straight for the Golden House and intercept him!"

Terror briefly flashed in Paimon's eyes, but seeing Shao Yun's unwavering gaze helped calm her fears.

Shao Yun looked over at Lumine, brow slightly furrowed as if contemplating something. "Lumine, you and Paimon—"

Before he could finish, Lumine slapped him lightly on the shoulder and cut him off with three firm words.

"Together till the end."

A satisfied smile spread across Shao Yun's face. He nodded, his voice full of encouragement.

"Good! Let's go!"
