Waking up to worried faces

I heard my brothers talking to me off and on for what I thought was a few hours. I remember what they said for the most part, but I wasn't able to hear all of it. I also remember being sat up and being fed some really good soup more than once. I thought that was kind of odd though, I had only gone with out eating for a day. It was not like I was going to starve to death if they didn't feed me. What was even more peculiar is I remember eating more than one kind of soup. A pot of soup would usually last us a couple of days and even if someone was sick we would just anything extra they may need to there water so there would be no reason for the soup to taste different.

But what I remember vividly was the blinding pain I felt at one point. It was after the last time I remembered eating soup. I had never felt such intense pain in my life. I couldn't even tell where it was coming from it was just one big pain that took over my whole body. Then everything went black after that. I heard, felt nothing, smelled nothing, tasted nothing, and saw nothing. It was like a was in a limbo state. Eventually I saw a light. It start off in the distance then started to come closer to me very slowly. As it grew nearer I could see that it wasn't just one light, but many small orbs of light all clustered together.

Shortly after I noticed this they all rushed towards me suddenly. Once they got to me they surrounded me, coating me in a layer of light. I could then feel a burning sensation on my skin and I felt so hot that I thought I was going to die. The light then sunk into me, go into my skin, my vains, my bones, my very being! It was a sensation that I couldn't even begin to describe. One thing I could say was it was painful, so painful in fact I began to scream as loud as I could. I screamed until I tasted blood in my mouth and my ears started to ring from the sound of it. This made me wish I was back in the black limbo space. Then a flash it all stopped and there was a hand reaching out to me. I took hold of it and I was pull out of this place. As I left the space I heard my father say, "I'm always with you."

I regained consciousness after that. I had no idea how long l had been out for and I was still in pain, but it was not as awful as it had been. I heard a voice, but I hadn't the faintest clue what it was saying. It felt like there was something in my ears and it was muffling the voice.

I tried moving the fingers on my right hand and I found that I could wiggle them slightly. I hoped that this would be enough movement to get this person's attention. I had never felt this bad before and it scared me. I didn't want to be alone while I was like this!

Shortly after I had begun moving my fingers and heard someone talking again, though I still couldn't make out what they were saying, I felt someone squeeze my hand. I felt tears falling down my face. The pressure on my hand did make the pain worse, but that was not why I was crying. I was crying from relief. Someone had noticed me and that made me so happy that I had started to cry.

I felt someone take out what was in my ears and then heard Mikey's voice shouting, "Hey can you hear me!?! Are you awake!?! Can you open your eyes? Please just say something, anything! Guys come quick she's finally awake!"

I croaked out out desperately, "Quiter."

"Oh, sorry I guess I was being a bit loud. I'm just so happy that you're awake."

I wanted to talk to him more, but it had hurt so much just to say that one word that I decided that wasn't a smart idea. Instead I tried to open my eyes like Mike had asked me to. Since I had already answered and complied to his other musings I thought it best to complete his last request.

There was the sound of rushed foot steps in the distance and right when I was able to open my eyes I saw Ray and Ben rushing through the the door. They both seemed to have lost a bit of weight, they also had dark circles under their eyes, and their clothes were wrinkled and disheveled. This was not in character for them they were both very put together typically. Look on their faces was all unusual. That both had look that said they were worried, relieved, and panicked all at the same time. What was happening!?!
