Chapter 73: I hate you

"Michael." Alex's voice rang out as he pounded on the door, his knocks sharp and agitated. "Michael, open up, or I swear I'll break this damn door down!"

Inside, Michael tensed at the sound of Alex’s voice, his jaw tightening as he stripped off his office clothes.

"Michael!" Alex shouted again, his frustration spilling into the hallway.

A neighbor peeked out from her apartment, curious about the commotion, but Alex barely noticed. His patience was running thin. Just as he raised his fist to knock again, the door swung open, revealing Michael in a singlet.

Michael's brows knitted together as he took in Alex’s disheveled state—sweaty, breathless, like he’d just run a marathon.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Michael demanded, stepping forward, intending to slip out and shut the door behind him. But before he could, Alex grabbed his arm and shoved him back inside, slamming the door shut behind them.
