That night, Lord Daigo, Shisui's father and the Clan Patriarch, returned to the mansion. Word of his son's unauthorized interdimensional marriage had already reached him through shinobi channels.
He found Shisui in the main hall, arms folded.
"You disappeared. Broke protocol. Returned with a foreign princess and her entourage. Do you have any idea what kind of political chaos this could cause?!"
Shisui bowed. "I understand. But I also saved my life and hers. The marriage was the only way to survive."
Daigo's voice thundered. "You're a shinobi, not a diplomat! You make these decisions with your clan!"
Then came Naoko and Himeya, faces unreadable.
Naoko walked right up to Shisui… and slapped him.
"That's for vanishing on us. And for not trusting us enough to tell us," she said, her eyes glistening. "I waited for months, Shisui."
Himeya nodded. "And I nearly thought you were dead."
Shisui exhaled. "I didn't want to hurt any of you. I—"
"You already did," Naoko whispered.
Then Liryssa entered quietly. "This is my fault."
Naoko's eyes flared.
But Liryssa bowed deeply. "I took your beloved from you. I don't expect forgiveness. But I will earn your respect, if you allow me."
An awkward silence followed.
Himeya finally sighed. "I don't hate her."
Naoko groaned. "I want to. But I don't either. She's… too regal."
Lord Daigo pinched the bridge of his nose. "Gods help me, this house is chaos."
Shisui chuckled. "Welcome to my life."

By nightfall, things calmed. Naoko and Himeya stayed distant but open. Daigo assigned a covert escort to monitor Liryssa's party. Trust would take time.
But in Shisui's heart, he knew—this was only the beginning of a much larger shift. Two worlds had begun to intertwine, and change was coming.
