silence

A heavy silence fell, the room's shadows deepening as the coin spun higher, pulsing with a faint silver glow.

His body tensed, a low hum vibrating in his throat, as if some vast entity stirred within him.

Then the voice rumbled again, deep and commanding.

"Rare is the one who would offer their plea not for themselves, but for another…"

Eva watched, lips parted, her fingers twitching against her thighs.

"For this, I am pleased," the voice continued, slow and weighty. "Your sacrifice is worthy. And for this act… I shall assist you both."

Eva's lips curved into a faint, relieved smile. "Thank you."

Lor let out a guttural hum, his head tilting back as if seized by power, the coin dropping with a sharp clink against the wooden floor.

He slumped forward, hand pressing to his forehead, groaning softly as if drained. "Ugh… that one was intense."
