Chapter 4 Token(rewritten)

Wolves surrounded Noah and Daniel from all sides.

A wolf charged viciously from Noah's blind spot.

Swish!

Daniel swung his blade in a broad arc. The wolf's head fell to the ground with a plop as it sliced right through its neck.

Daniel provided an opening while attacking, and the other wolves charged at him from the opposite direction.

Thwip! Thwip!

Two arrows whizzed through the air and embedded deep into the wolf's neck. The impact threw the creatures off course, their bodies tumbling to the ground. before they could rip him apart.

From behind, Henry and other archers lowered their bows, their fingers already notching another batch of arrows.

"Keep your guard up!" he shouted.

Noah gave him a quick nod before turning back to cover Jack; there was still one wolf left.

Knowing it would lose, it turned and fled, but before it could get very far, its heart was pierced by an arrow.

Liam watched everything from within the protection provided by his subjects.

He wanted to fight; his blood was boiling. He was accustomed to fighting all his life in his home world, but now he finds himself in a new one where power is paramount. But he was powerless. Here, fights require a lot more strength and are much curlier here.

He needs to obtain a combative class soon. Thinking about that, Liam walked towards the wolves corpses to observe them closely.

[Ding!] Host, would you want to extract loot?

"Extract loot? What can I extract loot from the dead? Liam exclaimed in surprise.

Yes, Host, you can extract loot from the dead beasts; you can extract basic resources like meat and sometimes weapons with special characteristics of dead beasts.

"Extract," Liam commanded the system with curiosity.

Light flashed over the dead Fang Wolf's corpse, and the Fang Wolf's corpse disappeared into thin air. Soon loot directly appeared in the system inventory.

[Ding!] You have obtained the following loot:]

- Wolf Meat: 30 units (1 unit = 1 kg)

- Wolf Fangs: 2

- D-rank token: 1

Thirty units of wolf meat, huh? For a while, I didn't have to worry about food, and I could even use the trading post to trade it for other resources from the other lord.

System, what are wolf fangs?

[Ding!] Host, wolf fangs are the raw materials used in making arrows with piercing effects and can be forged by the D-rank blacksmith or above-rank blacksmith.

Arrows, hum? However, only a D-rank blacksmith is capable of forging them. But I can only summon subjects with combat class due to my talent.

[Ding!] Host, disable your talent when summoning the new subjects. You can summon common subjects like other lords.

"System, how can I disable my talent?"

[Ding!] Just give me a command, and I'll take care of the rest, host.

"System, how about the token with a D rank? What do they do?

[Ding!] Host, You can call forth a D-rank subject by using the D-rank token. A subject can also be upgraded to D-rank using it! Additionally, the host's talent allows him to fuse ten tokens of the same rank to create a next-rank token!

My unique talent, troop master, must be a powerful one, which can summon army D-rank subjects or even higher-rank subjects over time. And can create an army of high-level subjects.

He continued extracting loot from the other Fang wolf corpses.

With that, Liam gained 150 units of wolf meat, ten wolf fangs, and five D-rank tokens from his first hunt in the New World.

By the time Liam and his group headed back to their territory, evening drew near and the sun started to set. They spent the day hunting fifteen more wolves. Thus far, Liam has amassed 20 D-rank tokens, 40 wolf fangs, and 600 units of wolf meat.
