Chapter 85: Building Up Rage

The Jonin-level Rock ninja saw Shindai's [Iron Sand Wings] and immediately recognized him as the traitor from Sunagakure who had framed Iwagakure.

Although Onoki and other Iwagakure leaders knew this was just a rumor spread by Sunagakure, only those high-ups were aware of the truth.

To everyone else, they believed it was real. Otherwise, why would their Tsuchikage once ally with Sunagakure to attack Konoha?

Shindai's face darkened when he heard the Jonin's words.

Annoyed, he retorted, "What nonsense are you spouting? Traitor? Framing? You fools don't even realize how Sunagakure's lot tricked you!"

Radiating killing intent, the Rock Jonin sneered, "Tricked? Hmph. You're helping Konoha now yet still arguing back. No wonder Sunagakure people are all so despicable!"

Shindai choked on those words, unable to reply.

Now that he was working for Konoha, in the eyes of these clueless folks, those rumors had already become facts.

Feeling like he had swallowed a toad, Shindai felt extremely frustrated.

The Jonin glared hatefully at Shindai. "Kid, remember my name before dying—I'm Iwagakure Jonin, Tokujuku!"

Shindai stared at Tokujuku in shock. So this one was actually a Jonin?

No wonder the pressure earlier had been so intense.

Shindai cast a glance toward Kakashi and Obito.

Fighting against two Rock ninjas, Kakashi was holding his own—neither losing ground nor able to finish them off quickly.

Obito too faced two Rock ninjas, though he was being overwhelmed and barely managing to defend himself. However, his movements were fast enough that those two Rock ninjas couldn't catch him right away.

It seemed those four Rock ninjas were about Chunin-level strength each. Right now neither Kakashi nor Obito could offer timely help.

In other words, Shindai had to face this Jonin, Tokujuku, alone.

Damn it… part of him wanted to flee already.

Glancing uneasily at Tokujuku, Shindai spoke up. "Hey, call me traitor again."

Tokujuku hesitated—what kind of idiot provoked someone like that?

Provoking further, Shindai asked, "What? Scared?"

Tokujuku sneered coldly, "Scared? Brat, have you actually started taking pride in being a traitor? Although I'm not a Sunagakure ninja, someone like you—betraying your Kage and village—deserves death!"

Taking a deep breath, Shindai felt his rage surge dramatically.

Forget fleeing now—he wanted to take this guy down.

He had deliberately provoked Tokujuku into calling him 'traitor' to stoke his anger.

Knowing exactly what kind of person he was, Shindai realized that without enough rage built up, if the fight went south, he'd run for it in an instant.

Rage meter overflowing, Shindai cursed furiously, "Traitor? It was Sunagakure that betrayed me! You blockheads were born to be someone's pawn!"

Shindai flapped his Iron Sand Wings, launching countless iron sand feathers from across their surface, unleashing a relentless long-range barrage against Tokujuku.

[Magnet Release: Iron Sand Triangular Pyramid!]

Shindai created the technique from his Iron Sand Body and hurled it toward the earthen walls.

This time, Tokujuku erected five earthen walls around himself, forming a protective enclosure against Shindai's iron sand feathers.

When Shindai's iron sand feathers ceased, there was no movement seen inside the earth walls.

Frowning slightly, Shindai felt something wasn't quite right.

The earthen walls collapsed with a thunderous crash, yet there was no sign of Tokujuku within.

A sudden jolt of alarm surged through Shindai. Just then, he sensed movement behind him.

Turning his head, he saw Tokujuku making hand seals, lunging forward with a fist as large as a rice pot aimed directly at Shindai.

[Earth Release: Added-Weight Rock Technique!]

Tokujuku increased the weight of the rock covering his fist to unleash devastating force.

Shindai quickly formed seals. [Magnet Release: Iron Sand Wall!]

He transformed the iron sand wings on his back into a solid defensive wall, blocking Tokujuku's punch.

The sturdy iron sand wall was literally smashed by Tokujuku's fist, leaving a massive hole. Still, it succeeded in halting Tokujuku's attack.

Since his iron sand wings had been converted into an iron sand wall, Shindai began plummeting from midair.

Shindai tried to reshape the iron sand back into iron sand wings so he could continue flying.

On the ground, he definitely couldn't match Tokujuku, who excelled at earth-style ninjutsu. In the air, however, aside from being cautious about Tokujuku's surprise attacks like before, he held some advantage.

But what surprised Shindai was that his iron sand suddenly became unresponsive, sending him plummeting straight down to the ground.

Shindai stood frozen in shock.

However, Shindai quickly figured out the reason.

It was because of Tokujuku's Earth Release: Added-Weight Rock Technique.

After striking the iron sand wall, Tokujuku had used the Earth Release: Added-Weight Rock Technique, drastically increasing the iron sand's weight, resulting in Shindai's inability to control it.

Furthermore, Tokujuku himself now carried immense weight. His falling speed exceeded Shindai's, landing first and immediately beginning to form hand seals.

If Shindai just kept falling like this, disaster would strike.

Shindai directed Kannazuki toward the sealing Tokujuku.

[Kannazuki: Blade Whirlpool!]

Blades shot out from every joint of Kannazuki, slashing violently toward Tokujuku like a raging tempest.

Tokujuku was forced to interrupt his hand seals to defend against Kannazuki's fierce assault.

The portion of [Iron Sand Body] stored inside Kannazuki, saturated with Shindai's chakra, was effortless for Shindai to control.

Now this [Iron Sand Body] has increased weight, making it impossible for Shindai to manipulate. His combat strength dropped significantly.

Shindai maneuvered Kannazuki to attack Tokujuku. To form hand seals now, Shindai would have to stop controlling Kannazuki.

However, if he stopped controlling Kannazuki to perform [Magnet Release] ninjutsu, Tokujuku would either evade or interrupt his Hand Seals, possibly destroying Kannazuki under his attacks.

Shindai narrowed his eyes. It was time to test the results of recent efforts!

While Shindai controlled Kannazuki in attacking, its eyes suddenly lit up, emitting a faint red glow.

Shindai had activated Kannazuki's automated targeting attack system.

Kannazuki's two eyes functioned as cameras, locking onto Tokujuku and launching continuous pre-programmed attack sequences against him.

However, many shortcomings remained. Currently, the enemy could only be locked within sight; should the target suddenly disappear from view, Kannazuki would just stand there, dazed.

Moreover, since the attacks followed pre-set combat routines, Kannazuki couldn't adjust its tactics. Plus, such intense assault might drain the battery in just about a minute.

But that should be enough time to complete a hand seal.

After landing on the ground, Shindai formed hand seals with both hands and pressed them onto the ground.

[Magnet Release! Iron Sand Body Wave Surge!]

Shindai infused his chakra into the ground, manipulating the iron beneath to rise and form an ocean-like wave of [Iron Sand Body], continuously rolling forward toward Tokujuku.
